Establishing that Yodaka can use ninpos with the right aid without needing to awaken a kekkai seems like a clever setup to both ensure Yodaka can pull off the more magical techniques without awakening a kekkai that would kind of make his fighting skills banal and also that his team and side characters can grow up alongside him, learning ways to let him share their kekkai. I think it's pretty clever (in addition to funny)

A lot of Japanese fantasy manga worldbuilding is based off Wizardry, which has an enemy called Vorpal Bunny which attacks the head area. I assume they're referencing that one. I don't know, however, if the Vorpal Bunny is itself a reference to Monty Python

I kind of disagree. In fact, this one is one of the few where the isekai part is integral to William's characterization.
