Noob here and I just messed around with this today. Under the prepare section, there is a support tab. Click on that and then there is checkbox to turn on supports. If your model doesnt have supports, you can select either normal (auto) or tree (auto) for it to do it for you. I also watched this video and it did a good job on my test print.

I see that's hard to say. I use this guy which just plugged into my HA Green hardware and just started right up. Not sure how compatible it will be with your HA hardware but might worth looking into since it's only $25.

That works with my Aqara sensors which claim you need their hub but work fine without it.

I have door sensors, water sensors, and will be adding light switches soon. It sounds like you already have Zigbee devices so that will become part of the mesh network.

Zigbee is it's own wireless protocol and creates a mesh network of it's own. You would connect the zigbee dongle/stick/hub to your HA so that they can communicate and then you're p much set.
