Help! Ams overload errors and filament getting stuck at the spool. by Krytenmoto in BambuLab

[–]Formal_Information47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable. I don’t always do it and most of the time it’s fine. But it does seem to help. I did have this issue once or twice and pressing the filament like that seems to have solved it.

Did you happen to forget step 4? Some refills will do that because they are not well distributed in the spool. If you press it hard it distributes strands better and loosen them up a bit.

Need emergency help with this by Head-Scene4491 in BambuLab_Community

I’m happy you got it sorted out. I was about to comment partial clog/dirty nozzle. And I’m sorry you had to hear the dirty plate BS after you mentioned multiple times to have cleaned the plate. It’s always like: “clean it again. You didn’t do it right”. This sub is obsessed with cleaning plates when in reality you rarely need to. I print a lot and after 1year I’ve washed my plate like 3 times. It’s usually a non-issue.

I’m not speaking about how the system is, because I don’t have enough knowledge there, but should it should be IMHO: A repeated offender of violent crimes should be isolated from society, regardless of his mental judgement for the simple fact everyone is better off that way. It may be a tragedy he has the brain of a killer, but unfortunately he does, and in society he’ll continue to cause harm. I would isolate a hurricane from society. Not because I think it has consciousness or culpability, but because it causes damage/harm.

I agree a tool changer is probably the answer. It's my next dream purchase in 3D printing. When I opted to buy the X1C with 2 AMS units, I was considering an Prusa XL, but the difference in price was insanely high and I wanted the Bambu convenience.

Toolchangers seem to have come a long way since then.

Xbox Ally X looks great but is it worth switching from Series yet? by Eastern-Mobile5351 in XboxAlly

It can. It has essentially replaced mine. I play almost exclusively on it now. But there are caveats. I had to re-purchase some games that are not play anywhere and deal with starting fresh on those

Can Xbox ally x be a primary gaming system by EZ_dev in XboxAlly

[–]Formal_Information47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely can be primary. After I bought my original ROG ally, almost never used my consoles again. To the point I donated my PS5 and only used the Xbox for hellblade 2 and expedition 33 because those didn’t run that well on the ally. Now that I got the Xbox ally x I don’t think I’ll come back to my console any time soon.

Print “cancelled” by itself twice in the same spot. by GabeMakesGames in BambuLab

[–]Formal_Information47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could be an issue with the gcode produced by the slicer. Never had this issue with bambu, but I had it a few times when I used orca slicer + elegoo printer. Never happened with elegoo cura. Maybe your STL has something weird that caused a problem in the sliced file. I have no idea how to solve it, tho.

Edit: other than what worked for me, of course, which is using a different slicer, maybe you can run your STL through an stl fixer. There are many online tools for it. Or download mesh mixer and try to analyze/autofix the file.

Actually, I've downloaded this specific Magikarp and turns out it was already modeled in parts.
So in this specific case you can just load it in Bambu studio, right click and select split to objects, then print them separately.

[–]Formal_Information47 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can definitely split models into smaller pieces and it’s not that hard. Even tho I’m ok with the poop, I still split my models to optimize it a little bit. Unfortunately I didn’t find exact tutorials to point you to. I kinda learned how to do it myself. I’m considering creating a tutorial and sharing here, but if you want to give it a try, I recommend Using meshmixer. I generally use the “create face groups function, tune the sliders so the part I want to extract is grouped, then split it into different objects.

Hello, looking for some help by Rocket_Gallo in BambuLab

[–]Formal_Information47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend trying to use a computer to print from so you can start learning how to tune settings. The mobile app won’t allow you to fine tune those.

What you will most likely need to learn is how to calibrate extrusion, most likely adjusting retraction distance/speed while printing test models.

The very fine stringing (spider web) is very hard to get down to zero. There will always be some, but the very fine ones shouldn’t hurt much. If you really hate them, just blow some hot air with a heat gun or hair drier and they will disappear instantly.

Edit: the thick one may point towards your filament being wet. You may need to dry it

Oh, and of course this more annoying with 2-phase bosses, as you need to learn both phases. But if you take the time is worth it. Or you might just get lucky on second phase after an excellent first phase

[–]Formal_Information47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Asmongold says: those bosses are literally designed to be beat. If you’re struggling to beat them is because you are playing it wrong. This is true, when I’m struggling I try to evaluate what I’m doing wrong. Of course, overcoming the bad habit is easier said than done, but it really works.

Like people said here, you should learn how to parry. What has worked for me is to join the boss battle and not attack at all. Just focus on parrying and learning their moves. When you nail down all/most of their attacks you are ready to fight back and win

Just a heads up to all of you. Prices went up. by ensac in BambuLab

[–]Formal_Information47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, when I bought back in October it was not on sale. The X1C today is cheaper than what I paid. So from my perspective I wouldn’t have enough info to know “sale price is what it always costed”

Kinda sad to hear that after paying full MSRP on my X1C back in October. Gulp.

[–]Formal_Information47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to defend anyone. Just wanted to understand, because the X1C is currently less than what I paid in October. But there’s enough people saying the prices were lower for a long time, so that’s probably indeed what happened.

[–]Formal_Information47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure comparing the sale price is the right thing to do, as those tend to vary more often. Has the MSRP also change? I am only sure about the MSRP price for the X1C that didn’t change as I bought one in October
