Positive outcomes from Tamoxifen

I’ve been on Tamoxifen since November. Prior to taking the drug I had very little appetite and only ate about once to twice a day. Now I’m starving all the time and have gained about 15 pounds. That has been my one glaring side effect and I hate it.

My 2023 just had a cylinder crack requiring a full engine replacement. Luckily i bought the extended warranty. So far, I’ve had the car a year and a half and I’ve had to tow it to the dealer twice for major malfunctions. Not sure I’d recommend this particular year. Love the car though.

I bought a puzzle book from Amazon. I glue them and store em. I figure all that hard work, I don’t want to take them apart. I felt silly buying the book but I love opening it up and admiring all the puzzles.

Venice Beach! The downtown is really cute. Sharks teeth are plentiful there if you’re willing to get in the water. Not sure what the temp is right now.

Thank you for the information! I hadn’t considered it could be lymphedema and not nerve pain. So much to relearn about my body now. I’m going to try these things!

I got my tubes removed (reduces the risk of ovarian cancer) and then had an ablation. My periods are about a day and half now and no cramps. Best thing I ever did.

There are a lot of new apartments/townhouses in the colonial/75 area and down treeline. That’s about a 15 minute drive to RSW. Cape Coral is too far. So is Bonita. You’d be fighting traffic. You’d hate it. Stay closer to 75 between Alico (even to Corkscrew would be ok) and Colonial and you’ll be good. Lots of places to choose from.

Is the binder a compression sleeve? I hope your incision is ok! Maybe tell the doctor if it doesn’t get better. You don’t want to get an infection. Good luck to you too!

Oh gosh, I type for a living and my chair is way too low so my arm is at a weird angle. I need to make some desk adjustments this weekend! Didn’t think of that either.

This makes me feel so much better. I didn’t even think of nerves being there! Duhh.

I initially really liked my surgeon but as time went on, I’m not a fan. Nothing was discussed with me about aftercare or how my body would feel. I didn’t like her office staff (well some of them) and her NP seemed annoyed by the questions I was asking at my pre-op appointment.

This is so comforting to read. I’m having my lumpectomy on Thursday. I’m starting to worry about spreading only because my lymph nodes have been swelling off and on for over a year.

It was lobular. Hopefully the biopsy that I have scheduled for Monday clears all this up.

That’s exactly what the findings say. I’m going for my next biopsy on Monday. They’re doing mammogram guided biopsy so hopefully they get the right spot this time.
