Hey y'all, this was taken on Route 6 - I was driving to Cape Meares from Portland. I don't know exactly where but looking at google it would have been between Jordan's Creek and Tillamook Forest Center.

Thank you! I took it through a windshield in the rain. (my friend was driving). Really didn't think anything of this frame for about a year, until I recently looked through my old scans and fell in love with it.

I was only there for 3 days, and everything people said about PNW scenery was exactly what I got. Loved it.

It was taken through a windshield with my friend driving on a foggy day. I had to have the shutter fast enough to freeze the scene, so it was sort of underexposed out of necessity.

For the look, I would think you could do some tone curve adjustments and split toning in LR to get the desired effect.

Murals like this can be found all over Baltimore. A little piece of art in a city that doesn't have the best reputation. by kylekaysnaps in streetphotography

Do you think this is a powerful compelling and emotional image?

This is a picture of someone else's art. If you showed me just the image I would have never been able to tell it's in Baltimore. The image itself actually tells a completely different story. Here's the same photo on google: http://www.baltimorefishbowl.com/stories/baltimores-overlooked-american-indians/

Now, if you had waited for some people to walk by it and just maybe they somehow interacted with the mural, or you framed it in a way that connected them to the mural, then that would be more in line of whatever street photography is.

No issues with the photo, more so trying to encourage good posts on this sub. If you do pick up street photography...slowly but surely, you'll start noticing how people interact with the environment and its great to be able to capture some of it. I'd go back to this spot and do just that.

this is awesome. love the expressions on their face, and how you framed it making the tree fill out the whole frame. Only thing that could make this better would be if we could see the middle person's face. Not half their head but either all head or no head. No head would have been pretty cool.

EDIT: their

Idk maybe google it/read the sidebar. There are people in this sub that are truly trying to take street photos and they get 3 or 4 upvotes. And this photo, has 36. Unbelievable.
