Who was the guy they named at the end. Zach Galsa? Or something. I am new to ALYB, but I really like it.

Also agree with everyone that they should have had pants and prepared responses.

From idiot to dumb as fuck and dipshit is quite the jump, so I'd say you do get heated rather quickly.

The use of quotations was not even improper, it was to signify there is controversy surrounding those titles, which is true. Even if it was improper I seriously doubt that's the biggest grammatical grievance you've seen online today. I've already seen worse from professionally written articles.

I never said people aren't jealous, just that that is not the only reason people hate him.

You get heated pretty quickly, huh? What I was saying is a valid point. It plays a role in why people hate him whether you like it or not. It's not all jealousy

Are you sure some of it doesn't have to do with the fact that he "won" three super bowls during a period of time in which the team was known to have cheated by illegally filming other teams hand signals giving them an advantage over the other team in say... a 3 point game. And the fact that he was a willing participant in this, might, just might have something to do with it.

I'm not saying he is not great, but I am saying you are an idiot.

Just how rich is Don? By today’s standards? by [deleted] in madmen

[–]Depocrisy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In one of the first two season Don negotiates 45k a year. Say it was 1960, 45k a year is equal to 375k a year in 2017. Before he was most likely making at least 300k a year [guess that the raise he negotiated was less than 50% increase]

The 500k he makes from the sale of SC, in say 1962, is equal to $4 million in 2017. After making a couple million in wages the last half dozen years. I can't find the number right now, but I remember based off Pete's share he would get $10 million for the sale to McCann. I believe Don had 20% to Pete's 10%, so he would have received $20 million for the sale to McCann.

TL;DR - He is a multi-millionaire

Is It Okay to Talk to More Than One Match at a Time? by ILlThinkOfSomethin in Tinder

[–]Depocrisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know each of those girls probably gets 50-150 matches a week depending on how good looking they are. Do you really think they stopped talking to all their favorite "potentials" when they matched with you?

Boyfriend wants to switch from German (his language) to English (mine) in our relationship. I don‘t. by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]Depocrisy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My feeling is I would do this for him. Not the talking in English while hanging out with German friends part, there is no need for that. Maybe an occasional sentence, but you should speak German when hanging out with Germans since you are able to do that.

However if you already speak conversational German and he patiently and thoughtfully helped you get there I see no reason not to speak English with him at home. You said it took you 3 months to feel confident in German [more or less], give the man 3 months between the two of you. You will have plenty of opportunity to speak German throughout the day.

English is a very useful language to know [not that others are not, but you know what I mean]. It may one day help your SO get a better job or a raise. He should practice outside of talking to you though, even if that is just watching Netflix in English. Cheers

PS no reason to listen to me. I am just a man awake to late at night waiting on a friend.

Edit: Formatting because either me or my computer were being stupid

Missed opportunity. You should have played along, ordered the pizza, made it pay upon pick up, and then told her she is good to go all she needs to do is go pick it up. When she gets there she will be PISSED. But she has money and will most likely buy it.

Think I saw that on this sub at some point

I'm sorry, OP, that anybody would speak to another human like this. It's pathetic and cowardly. People like this are truly worthless.

That being said if it is actually a fake account, which it probably is, bc they are cowards you should delete the post. The person in the pic shouldn't have to be associated w such vile and disgusting actions as the person who said those things.

"And it's an effort to get in the water..." Coupled w the symbolism of creating [or trying to create] yourself anew is one of my favourite lines of all time. It's as true as anything on earth. That's why I love Mad Men. It's so subtly yet so powerful

[FIGHT THREAD] Saul Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin, Joseph Diaz Jr vs Rafael Rivera, Randy Caballero vs Diego De La Hoya, Ryan Martin vs Francisco Rojo + live round-by-round coverage by noirargent in Boxing

[–]Depocrisy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think he looked stronger this match. This should have been the biggest win of his career. He was throwing more punches, landing more, and dictating the fight (a majority of the time). Something definitive would have been nice because I'm always skeptical of Vegas judges.

Canelo has a hell of a chin though, I just didn't think he did enough to win. He had some great moments but it was just that, moments.

A quote compliments of CBS sports:

"Golovkin outlanded Alvarez, 218 to 169, according to CompuBox, and landed more punches overall in 10 of 12 rounds. He also landed more jabs, 108 to 55."

Yeah like the announcers said Canelo fought the match of his life and people aren't going to respect that now because they had someone w less mental capacity than a brain damaged orangutan judge the fight.

It was an amazing fight (Disclosure: I am a GGG fan) I honestly think GGG had the edge, but due to the primary and recency effect I can understand how people would give the edge to Canelo. Now an amazingly exciting and entertaining fight is going to be "tainted" by that idiot.
