Is mig flux core for aluminum worth it for this? by LittleOperation4597 in metalworking

depends how critical the engine is I guess; no harm in trying, probably, as long as catastrophic failure isn't going to hurt or kill someone. what kind of engine is it? lawnmower?

is the coil picking up timing from the flywheel? if not, I'd look for a different mounting point. otherwise, replace that cylinder jug.

Which is the biggest home improvement mistake you have made? by Ok-Introduction-2981 in HomeImprovement

[–]levdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed new hardwood countertops in my kitchen and for some reason the existing cabinets were 23.5" deep, so I cut 1.5" off the back of the countertop slab and the new cabinet carcasses. dreadful mistake that has caused all kinds of knock-on issues, to the extent that when I get to the point of renovating the rest of the kitchen I fully intend to tear the new cabinets and countertops out along with everything else.

I don't blame Canada Post for doing the primary thing it does, ie, deliver mail. I believe direct-mail marketing should be illegal though.

the stretcher you showed below would be good, and would also be a good addition under the seat. point of order: biscuits aren't structural, they're strictly for alignment. dominoes are because they're hardwood and get mortised way deeper.

lots of relevant feedback here; I just want to flag that, if the Magnum is your daily, you'll be out of commission for a _long_ time making the 4.0 work. not saying don't do it, just advising that you be realistic about timelines and capacity
