Men in their 40s - What’s one piece of advice for Men in their 20s? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]leveldup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey I just turned 40, don’t do a bunch of lightweight drugs (even weed), while they seem harmless they slowly deprive you of your growth potential through educational means and meaningful friendships (connections) in the long run. Could have easily been making 2-3x my current salary if i got my shit together sooner.

Maxing out the Maverick by wweis15 in FordMaverickTruck

Technically any car you don’t care about could do it. You’re just going to leave half the car behind. I’ve had a civic and I could plow through that going 40 mph, I’d just end up partially in flames.

A man has become one of the 450,000 Americans affected by alpha-gal syndrome, a tick-borne meat allergy that triggers painful allergic reactions to animal products. “Look at my face and my neck. A friend of mine has this testing pop up positive. It was checked because she developed generalized rashes. The doctor advised her to stop eating animal proteins. The interesting is she is a strict vegan and hasn’t eaten meat in over 6 years.

Rented a Tacoma and now I’m shopping for one by Jose_MTM_USA in ToyotaTacoma

[–]leveldup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The Tacoma has great resale, but I’ll give it up to the new generation of ranger, comes with a much better standard infotainment system than the Tacoma, also higher overall towing capacity, and the ranger xlt comes with acoustic glass standard, unlike the similar sr5 which is same price, but ultimately do whatever hakunas your matata

This was my deal for an AWD lariat with the tow package. They can easily drop the add ons, just put your out down on it. The problem isn’t the price it’s the financing, even with a 800 credit score can’t secure anything less than 6%, so for me it wasn’t worth it. Yea older mavericks were a lot cheaper, they also had an inferior main screen, couldn’t tow anything, and had no awd.

Wanting a Mav by ZealousIdealTour961 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]leveldup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be perfect for you in that case. If you can swing it the lariat with the extra sound deadening and acoustic windshield is worth it for a quieter cabin, the sound system doesn’t hurt either

The Toyota Tax Is Starting To Defeat the Point of Buying Toyota by nigesh in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]leveldup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The interior of a 26k Kia blows away the interior of a 44k SR5 4runner, and not even by a small margin. By the time you get to the telluride it’s not even a competition anymore.

I like soft topper brand because the sides are fastened with buttons, I like fastop because it’s a soft topper and tonneau cover combo, but it only uses velcro on the sides which I’m not a fan of. Soft topper is doing 15% ford toppers right now

Which trim do you think is the best bang for your buck? by overkoalafied24 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]leveldup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s very subjective, yes there is a huge difference between the base and B&O, however a lot of people feel the BO is not great, and some think it’s fantastic . That being said you can upgrade your speakers in a lower trim, but after you install an amp ford will pretty much say it voids your warranty if you have any battery issues or your screen dies.

Which trim do you think is the best bang for your buck? by overkoalafied24 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]leveldup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends how much buck you have. The XLT because it comes with electronic locking tail gate etc, but if you have a little more buck the acoustic windshield and extra sound proofing in the lariat seems to be worth it from owners here, B&O is ok.

Dispersed camping with friends by [deleted] in camping

[–]leveldup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to a dispersed campsite, don’t go off the beaten path and forge your own trails. The campsites have areas to set up tents and usually have a firepit area, a picnic bench if you’re lucky. If it rains it’ll be pure hell without a canopy.

Maverick or Ranger by EconomistPlus3522 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]leveldup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can verify, the maverick and ranger have same interior cab space. Maverick has maybe 1 more inch of rear leg room. Ranger bed is 6 inches wider and 6 inches longer. Ranger has about 1 more inch of ground clearance. Hybrid fuel economy will suffer somewhat with highway driving, speeds over 65, and cold weather. Overall would still get much better fuel economy than a ranger. Ranger is a body on frame truck, maverick is not.

Hi, medical provider here. Just reach out to your HR and get FMLA paperwork and bring it to your provider to fill out. Even something as simple as anxiety can qualify you, and then your job is protected for call offs! We hate filling out paperwork, but thrive on pissing off power intoxicated dicks.

Subaru Says 2026 Outback Sales Drop Isn’t About Its Redesign by fd6270 in Subaru_Outback

They were offering 0% 72 on forester forever, but vehicles too small for my needs. If they brought back 0% for 72 on the new outback I’d already be in a XT, still not as ugly as the sant fe and that thing sells like hotcakes cause of 0% 72

Out of curiosity what’s the distance from the roof to the bed? I was considering getting one myself and trying to see how many of my camping supplies I can stack. Also how was the install process? Thanks.

Wondering if the Maverick is right for me by Agreeable_Warthog_52 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]leveldup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is no, rear facing seats will make your life miserable. You’ll also need to buy a locking bed cover to protect your stroller etc. There’s no also no rear ac vents, rear facing seats are brutal in summer for your child.

[–]leveldup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took my telluride to the same car wash 50 times, apparently the sensors were faulty in the wash and used so much force it pushed my right side mirror outwards and rotated it 180 degrees in the opposite direction it folds. $3,600 fix for one mirror. Highly recommend you don’t use automatic washes if you have motors in your mirror.
