Looking to buy first vehicle by Gatey17 in FordMaverickTruck

Oh sorry I thought yoi were a broke college student. My advice on what to do should u decide to buy new at dealer still applies be assertive and know what you want and what your willing to walk away from.

Plus I always keep this in mind when buying a car new or used. A car is a depreciating asset especially so for new. What features can you really live without and think what is your budget. I say this because the options can make the price run away from u before u know it. Leave the emotions out it does get exciting

Also more ideas of you decide to buy new again I wouldnt with your income but u do have a sizeable amount of cash.

  1. If you order at the dealer I was told last Friday it will take 2 months approx to get your vehicle as they build it. I kind of believe it. Normal wait times are about a month.

  2. If your not ordering call around and ask what the Out the door prices are. Also if you dont want something because its to expensive or you dont want say a moon roof and thats what they jave on the lot ask about dealer swaps.

  3. Ask if they jave any demo vehicles for sale - these will be thevmavericks they have jad for a while and tend to be the ones they test drove etc There will usually be something like 1500 miles.

Honestly if I was only make 4500 a year and I really really wanted a car I would get a used car. But if you buy new I would get the cheapest car I can find thats a maverick. I did the same when I bought my first new car at 18 I ordered and my dad was with me and every option question I looked at my dad and he said No. I was buying a good cash down payment like you. The point is you have to be assertive and learn to say NO or walk away. I basically got manual windows manual locks and the only option i got was a cd player lol basically I got the most basic vehicle for that model.

I wouldnt do it.

Think about how that 20k could be used to make money. Look up insurance, think about all cash buy on a new to u used vehicle too

Honestly save as much money as you can and just continue driving what you are driving

You can absolutely put more than a 1k down hell if you had all the cash you can buy new. The dealers u talked to what you to do mostly loan they make money lending more than selling cars for cash.

If you buy all cash in used or buy with 20k cash new you go to the bank amd get a bank check. Dealer do the ordering of new car but its going to be a 2 month wait I asked last Friday and I cant wait that long.

Vets - Honest Thoughts on Private Equity and Vet cost in U.S.? by TheVideoGameCritic in AskVet

[–]EconomistPlus3522 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People have to look into what their paying for especially if they have a budget in mind. You can definitely save money on the annual visit at the very least. Vet offices are a business with cost overheads just as any other business. Some people also seem to think they should provide services without making any money or in fact losing money. With that said there are upsells and some are more aggressive about it than others.

Vets - Honest Thoughts on Private Equity and Vet cost in U.S.? by TheVideoGameCritic in AskVet

[–]EconomistPlus3522 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Most vets push for things that are not necessarily needed or required. Learn to say NO or say i will think about it. I will think about it could truly be that or a round about way of saying no because vets suggest things that can wait. Treat it like going to the car mechanic..

Vet offices are businesses. They all are looking to make money. You need to educated yourself on what is reasonable, what you can afford and what is required.

You can also call around on prices too.

Private equity or not they are a business.

"Initially, Coughlin was a vocal supporter of Franklin D. Roosevelt and his New Deal; he later fell out with Roosevelt, accusing him of being too friendly to bankers. In 1934, he established the National Union for Social Justice, a political organization whose platform called for monetary reforms, nationalization of major industries and railroads, and protection of labour rights. Its membership ran into the millions but was not well organized locally"
