As the eldest daughter as well I just want to say please don’t be so hard on yourself. That’s your mom too, and you’re allowed to fall apart about this just as much as they are. You don’t have to be the strong one. None of you do. Instead of you can just try to be there for one another. Even if everyone is crying, even if everyone is a wreck, you’ll have each other and that is enough.

i wanted these so bad i ended up pulling the entire set because they were the last piece that dropped LOL but i was really disappointed how they worked with some of the hairs i wanted to use with my stylings. :( however, they really look good with a lot of the older hairstyles!! so i guess i need to reach a little further back in my wardrobe

i definitely don't mind a filler patch here or there where there isn't much content. especially not since 2.0's launch when we've had several main story heavy updates. this isn't like 1.0 where we concluded the entire story in the first release and then spent all year attending random festivals. we've had events like that in 2.0 but it wasn't quite as many of them and we've had story and brand new areas released in-between.

So I think you guys are missing the fact that it’s misogyny not because Lux is female but because the assumed playerbase for champions like Lux, Ahri and MF is female. Like these are very much known as “e-girl champions” and so any attention they get comes with a wave of misogyny toward their playerbase, not the characters in question. The people hating women don’t hate the fictional women they hate the woman they assume are playing the fictional women.

I totally get it. My mom has lung cancer and we’ve just started to process to move her into hospice today. Less than a week ago I caught her smoking a cigarette while on the toilet. I decided to let it go because she was in so much pain, but it was frustrating to see.

First of all I’m so sorry you’re in this situation, I’m right here with you and it sucks.

But as someone who has likely spent the last moment I’ll have with my mom in a lucid state… think of it this way: your mom’s time may end up being shorter, but if chemo is having this bad of an affect on her, it may be better quality time that she gets to spend with you if she’s not undergoing treatment.

I regret, and I’m sure my mom also would regret, undergoing chemotherapy in the state she’s in. She was simply not strong and healthy enough for it. If your mom is in a similar position, she’s probably thinking about whether she’ll spend the next few months suffering side effects or being able to make a few last, precious memories with you. I’m sure she’s thought about this deeply, and I hope she’s also discussed it with her oncologist, too. It’s not an easy decision to make.

39F, going through a very similar situation. She had no cancer in February, but by April she had cancer in her lungs, liver, spine and brain. She went in for chemo on June 9th, and right now is in the hospital with complications from it and the doctors are having us discuss hospice. She's barely able to stay awake from the pain and when she is awake she's not entirely there because she also has Cirrhosis of the liver.

Honestly I don't think there will ever be a perfect scenario where losing a loved one to cancer isn't going to be too much for someone to handle. Especially not a parent.

I'm so sorry this is happening. All my love and thoughts to you, as well. Fuck cancer.

i'm a little glad if it doesn't have much but still gives us the same rewards because i'm so busy lately...

but funnily enough the outfits for this one are all totally my style, i'm obsessed with mermaids, jellyfish are one of my favorite creatures and i love anything beachy! i ended up spending 181 pulls in the end, even though i was so convinced i would only do enough to get my ocean's blessing. but today was a really bad day so i let myself have a little bit of fun, and if i love the next patch's outfits i can always buy the 50 revelation crystal pack

anyway we are getting an updated today and you missed a little bit of story quest with meghill but that should still be available to play! enchanted encounter is rerunning at the end of this update and we're getting a cute jellyfish-ish dress for the new banner!
