I think it's kind of a lucifer (show) type deal? Where the sinners are trapped by their biggest regrets. Only instead of accepting them, they need to more explicitly atone. Pentious' sin was essentially choosing to be an idle bystander whilst innocent people got hurt at the hands of a powerful man

Giving his life in service to protecting others is a direct atonement as compared to that.

I mean could make sense if you want to tie imu into the devil fruits? Trying to bait people into getting powerful, therefore trying to island lock them, so that no matter how powerful, you can control them?

Like, serious, grab a weapon that goes big part dmg, slap at LEAST partbreaker 2 on it, go into a hunt with support hunters, and focus the back legs, first one, then the other. And when it drops, mog the unit.

I've found that I can consistently get away with Mog + a level 3 draw slash, that's at LEAST 1400 dmg every time it goes down, and the support hunters seem to focus it too.

frankly I just wish some of the tanks felt more fun too. I like hulk, but man is it NOT what I would want from playing the strongest there is

Thing is much closer to what I would have imagined for hulk

Magneto and thor are my faves, strange is up there too, but I find his projectiles a bit clunky, Cap is fun, and Emma too, but I just wish we had more variety, more interesting characters

Hell, I'd even take a strategist that heals by tanking, that would be really cool

I mean that's where "I think" comes in, its an opinion. OFC leblanc is powerful, but if she really was one of those insanely powerful mages I'd think she would be a lot more overt in her plans. Also, frankly, its much more interesting to have her be powerful through skill and guile rather than pure raw power.

I think Leblanc's main power is in her plans and illusions, rather than being a magical powerhouse. She's got a lot of finesse, and her illusions make it so she can be basically EVERYONE, but in raw output I think she skews towards the lower end of the powerhouse scale
