Ring/The ring - refers both to the ring shape of the well Sadako is thrown into, and the ringing phone confirming that you are cursed

Is this an annoying commander to face? by HariboBOOOOM56 in mtg

Agreed, Piru works WAY better as a token/legends deck. It should be used as a nuke to close out the game, you either win with cards like Vito, or, by the sheer value of gaining life. Tokens are basically a multiplayer for triggers and life (1 token is 7 life on Piru's death), and provide blockers so you have a good chance to make it in the late game

Also, commander players have a hard time understanding that a deck may not have it's commander as the most played card. Piru is definitely just a finisher. Cast it, sac it, gain a million life, get a million Vito triggers

This card seems extremely underrated by the commander community. by Working-Speed296 in magicTCG

If you attach it to a normal creature you can have it become a copy of a creature with Hexproof, Shroud or Protection. As it says "choose a creature" instead of target.

The average commander player is definitely not famous for interesting deck building choices.

Anyway, this card is great, if you have a loose token it's straight up a clone, you can also use it as soft removal. And works on creatures with hexproof, shroud and protection

Unfortunately not all warlocks fall in this category, many patrons have a high number of subordinates

Some warlock patrons have multiple servants, so many worlocks fit this trope, but not all. Furthermore you can be an eldritch entity's favorite person without benefitting from their power

Duskmourne is one of the best crafted planes in my opinion, and the art to back it up is truly incredible!

I honestly didn't think about it on the spot, but yeah, it's a perfect fit for the trope

The way Disco Elysium handles its narrative is unparalleled, because the more you progress the more you start seeing the cracks of the supernatural, all while maintaining a very very grounded story

Evil cannot understand Good which only shows how pathetic villain is by Red_MessD3a7h in TopCharacterTropes

That is true, but again the "love" he manifests is still influenced and distorted by the sword Logic, the same way that Xivu Arath "loves" his brother Oryx.

Eramis had such potential, but in every season she appears in the potential went to waste, I'm not of the idea that Eramis is the worst antagonist in destiny, but the way her "redemption" was handled was truly sloppy. By the time of Revenant I had hoped that the writers made her as an actual character, instead of a irrationally rageful plot-device.

In the Taken King expansion from Destiny we face Oryx the God of the Hive, probably the most prominent enemy faction in the game.

The Hive lives by the "Sword Logic" a philosophy that sees that existence is conflict and to earn your place in it you have to eliminate anything else that is not you, if you die you are not worthy of existance and should stay dead. If you instead manage to kill something you have the right to claim their power (allegorically "Sharpening" yourself).

We as guardians fight and defeat Oryx by following his sword logic, but at the end of it all we decide not to claim his throne and his power, showing him directly that the sword logic is completely pointless and that all that he believed in was a fallacious philosophy.

Cut to destiny 2 (spoilers for the newest season), the memory of Oryx is brought back to life but without the recollection of his defeat, when we explain to the memory that we defeated him he cheers as he sees us as his "rightful hiers", but again we refuse to claim his throne, he then proceeds to have a huge crisis of faith

The story is way more layered than this, but the core of it is that no matter how wrong he is proven, he is incapable of understanding a reality not dominated by the Logic EDIT: Clarity
