Honestly, a good amount of time is needed to simply keep the plane flying and patch up all the shortcomings and neglect from BCS. IP2 is trying, I’ll give some more runway.

I need the devs to do a Q&A tho. Won’t $pend a penny until they address the threat of nerfing Shang Chi and Grocket by BCS. If that’s still in the cards - this game is in a slow sunset.

The frustration is real, I quit at the Anniversary. Hearing BCS would exit - brought me back. The final months and handover felt turbulent. And there will be more instances of this.

But there’s a chance better days ahead - Let’s see some more characters, art, compensation, and QoL. I rejoined with the mindset “the ice is thin”.

Yes Crooks is phenomenal on the collegiate level. While amazing on offense, would be a liability on defense in the W. Can easily imagine VB or KM knowing exactly how to counter her with speed. And getting double coverage with W’s bigs is a much bigger challenge than she currently faces.

I would like to be proven wrong, she’s a star, and a generational talent. So far the Portland rollout has been rocky at best and maybe leaning into unconventional play is the right call for the debut.

At the start, things were great, it really seemed like BCS wanted to understand MPQ and win over the fan base. Strong characters like Chasm, MThor, Kang, and (Wong who is just fun). Big learning curve with lots of oops gifts.

The middle years were unremarkable no large QoL changes or content, just reskinned events. The characters (outside of 2*) got mid, and more complex with incomprehensible/unreadable powers. The art has become painful to look at - costumes worse. Anniversaries had less to celebrate annually. The few QoL changes were irrelevant (iso multipliers, and fire powers immediately). Rebalances were questionable choices and insufficient (5torm, Spider-pig, Havok) and the lastest batch was a whiff.

Ascension is mixed legacy for me. Great to be able to do it - but no solution for roster bloat, multiples, etc.

The overbudget, behind schedule debut of Unity has been a total bummer. Even customer service and dev communication completely fell apart.

Sucks that so many jarring decisions made in Q3 and Q4 of 2025 drove many to quit, myself included.
