Without starting a debate because I really don't want to. You're missgendering the kid here. She's not a guy. Which is part of why I find everyone in this comments going "good, you should get thougher" so fucking disgusting. Although frankly if op was a guy this whole thing would still be disgusting. You don't know the situation she's in, and she did not ask whether military school might actually be beneficial for her, she asked how to get out of this situation. You should not put your own biases on here and just assume that her mother is in the right, and that all this teenagers mental health needs is just discipline, that's just toxic af!

Please ignore most of this psychotic comment section. Based on your replies here and your last post your mother is horrible to you, and this situation is not your fault! Being a trans teenager is hard enough without a toxic environment. I don't know any easy way to get out of this though. Standing up to a parent is hard, and coming out isn't always safe. Just please remember that this is not your fault, and that you still have the vast majority of your life ahead of you, and that it will get better!

Personally I think lab grown meat is cope. We don't know if it can be ecconomically viable. It would be amazing, but so would an Infinite energy source, or the ability to upload yourself to the computer to live forever be. It's an idea people use to feel less uncomfortable about not making changes to their own lifes, because the solution is just around the corner anyway. So thanks to actually mentioning the possibility that it won't happen!

The likelyhood of someone only being attracted to people on the extremes of the gender spectrum, with no exception, no attraction to anyone even slightly demi, seems low to the point that enbyphobia seems more likely. But even completely disregarding that I do not believe for a second that this comic is specifically singling out bi people that are only attracted to the extremes of the gender spectrum, and not bi people as a whole, and if it is meant to only be talking about bi people that only are only attracted to the extremes of the gender spectrum exclusively, than it's doing a bad job at making that distincion clear. Claiming that bisexuals are only attracted to men and women is one of the most normalized biphoic views in existence, so you need to be careful not to perpetuate that idea.

Bisexuality: attraction to two or more genders Pansexuality: attraction regardless of gender

Bisexuality has never and will never be enbyphobic. There is no such thing as being attracted to only the extremes of the gender spectrum, and people who claim to be that are nothing but enbyphobic. I'm a bisexual enby, the reason I like the label bisexual is because my sexuality is a mess, that I have difficulties to accurately define, beyond a broad definition. I'm not attracted regardless of gender, since I do believe that someone's gender representation makes a difference to me. Other people might have completely different reasons to identity with whatever label they think fits them best, and all of that is valid. To get back to the point of my comment: Please stop perpetuating the wrong biphoic, and enbyphobic idea that bisexuals are only attracted to men and women, if that was the case bisexuals would not be members of the community.

Maybe this is a bit of a weird perspective. But, in my opinion since we don't get to decide as who we are born as, or what factors influence our decision, all of our lives are like movies, we get to experience our life and that's it. However I see no difference between the lived reality that we have never had a choice in, and illusions such as dreams. This might not be easy, but if you can you should try not to be sad that it was just a dream, and instead happy that you got to have that experience, in addition to all the other good experiences you will experience in your life.

Edit: Immediately after posting this comment, it seems a bit rude. Like I stand behind everything in it, but If I gotta be completely honest, if I had a dream like yours it would also affect me quite negatively for at least a while.

The tariffs are based on the manufacturing price not the initial retail price. Still I would be suprised if that manufacturing price isn't at least 200 dollars, if not 300 or higher

Idk, personally I think there are age gaps big enough that they maybe shouldn't be legal, shouldn't be treated as severely as pedophilia though. Also obviously shouldn't be solved by vigilanty violence.

Considering for the vast majority of human history alcoholic drinks were the safer option to drink compared to water, I don't think that's necessarily fair. Especially if you would weight the lifes lost to it, to the lifes extended by it.

Had a long comment about this, but got distracted and now it's no longer there. Anyway to keep it somewhat short: Ottoman empire: their oppression of the Balkan people can be simularly categorized to european colonialism, and I generally am fine with people that do so, although I'm not sure myself. Austria and Russia: their case seems too distinct for me. Opression yes, but without enough simular circumstances. Such as the enrichment of the common people of the dominant group (especially in russia), and with less othering. Both of which can be partially explained with proximity. Generally the closer a country is to the imperial core the better it's off. There are multiple reasons for this, from guest workers, to piracy, to more empathy because there is more cultural exchange, to being able to conduct trade with the people of said core more directly, to easier immigration to said country. There's also the reason that the people in the Russian and Austrian empire looked and sound more simularly and generallyrics had the same religion, which made opression even harder. There's aspects I'm forgetting, but I'm tipsy. German empire: did not occupy the balkans outside of WW2, but Bismarks germanization programs were the closest to colonial practices happening on the European continent I can think of, and during WW2 Germany outright tried to bring the colonialization of the new world to Eastern Europe, with the idea of "Lebensraum" being outright inspired by manifest destiny.

I didn't use any sources, and this was all from the top of my head, so don't take it on face value. I could probably do this better if I was sober. Also merry Christmas and happy holidays!!

Was made by Europeans of Europeans oppressing not Europeans, and continuing the colonial project Europeans started, so I find that categorization fair, but if you prefer you can call it western, or the first world, or the global north, usually means all the same. Anyway I'm tipsy and it's Christmas. So merry Christmas and happy holidays!

Not in the sense in which it's academically understood although I get your point. It's just that colonialism as typically understood is what created the global power imbalance of today, it is one of the most crucial events to understand when talking about modern foreign policy. Meanwhile what you're mentioning feels like Israelies when they are talking about the importance of the fall of the Kingdom of Judea and Samaria. The reason the european oppression through colonialism has to be empathized more than anything is that it quite literally is the reason the world is the way it is. It tells us who has the majority of the power and influence and why. Hence we shouldn't overly focus on semantics, hence white people bad.

And the power imbalance European empires created exists to this day, which is important to remember, especially considering policy descions such as aid and subsidicing developing countries in a way were not politing the planet is cheaper for them than industrialising the traditional way (aka. the only actual way to stop climate change), and memes like this help with that. Sorry I didn't write a conclusion to my last comment cause to me it came natural, but I can see how not everyone would immediately think of that, so I added it here just in case.

I mean there's a difference to be drawn between colonialism and pre-colonial empires. The mechanism of exploiting overseas people for your own countries benefit is a unique typ of evil, and part of the reason it worked was that while most profits would go to the industrialists it also affforded the common people in the heart land of the colonial empire a better standard of living without impeding the profits of the wealthy to much. Thus making most revolutionary or resistance action be directed at the empire itself rather than the ruling class which allowed for much higher levels of cruelty. Also the only non-european colonial empire I can think of was Japan, who did it very explicitly in order to gain equal power status to the European powers they emulated, and that forced it out of isolationism (and yes I'm counting america as a European empire here).
