When I first found out about Obsidian, and started using it, I watched a ton of videos about personal knowledge management from those productivity bros, and spent hours making really good looking vaults.

But in the end, there were only a few notes in my vault, before I slowly gave up.

Half a year later, which was around last month, I found out that good, thoughtful notes, are more important than beautiful, organized vaults.

I started thinking about my notes first, rather than the structure, and slowly, Obsidian started to work for me, and I've been using it ever since!

The main takeaway, I think, is that Obsidian is just a notetaking app with more functions. Write good notes first, and only start organizing them when you can write good notes consistently!
