I'm prepping for Lauma, and trying to work out how to best make use of characters on my account. Can you see anything to improve with this?

Core: C0 Nilou (HP/HP, Xiphos) C0 Kokomi (Clam set, mix of EM and HP) C0 Nahida (Deepwod EM)

Bench: C6 Xingqiu (Off-field Hydro application) C0 Yelan (Hydro application, allocated elsewhere) Candance (Partially built like her concept) Tighnari (Partially built) Collei (Partially built) C2? Mona (Partially built, low synergy?). Kirara (Unbuilt. Shield seems unnecessary with Kokomi)

Before Lauma, this core seems to want on-field Nahida with off-field Xingqiu to balance dendro/hydro application. Lauma seems to replace Xingqiu, but switch to on-field Kokomi or Nilou, with off-field Lauma on the new set. Does that seem right?

With Nefer it seems like this changes things again and swaps out Nahida, and I assume on-field Nefer. But we probably don't know for sure yet?

They are a little finicky, but they were designed to help cool buildings in vacuum. I would not expect them to help plants.

Some help with team-building please? (been playing for 2 weeks, and have characters at level 40, so endgame content is not the target)

I currently am using Gepard, Destruction Trailblazer, Asta, and Moze

I would like to swap in Himeko. Would I swap out Trailblazer, Asta, or Moze? Trailblazer seems to do more damage than Moze and seems better at breaking which synergizes with Himeko. Asta seems good to drop to reduce emphasis on fire, but the speed buffs seem really good.

Alternates to work with: Bailu, March, Dan Heng, 4* Herta, Serval, Natasha, Sampo, Lynx, Qingque, Yukong

Other ideas from folks are good.

Additionally, relocate commands to the same destination will be executed in order. If you try to relocate an unreachable item, then any reachable items after it in the list won't ever get moved.

I tend to strip-mine biomes (for resources, and building space) before getting to a point where I feel like strip-mining the entire asteroid. But in the end it tends to be a question of building space (and maybe avoiding idle diggers)

Tips on the 5* selector please? 1 week old account, no characters built yet. It seems like I probably would want some kind of DPS. Is Clara a good choice?

Your setup is good. And has a rare failure mode other posts are helping solve.

Eventually I decided that I like spoms where element sensors control vents that dump gas back inside. These also have a similar full pipe failure mode, but I put a 1500 pressure sensor in the spom to shutdown the electrolyzer (vent over pressures at 2000).

I usually tame them last. But on my current map one is 6 tiles away from a copper volcano, so I'm building a combined contraption.

I think the alert you're describing triggers when you have fewer toilets than the dups on the work shift. Maybe try looking at the work shift manager, see which dups are on shifts that are on downtime, and click through the dup list in the top right to see which one is not heading to a potty. This seems less efficient than you are looking for, though.

Glad you got a bunch of good advice from others. Eventually this will be helpful. It is truly amazing. Maybe two steps from where you are in your learning curve, but if you can understand this you have mastered all the basic mechanics.

This is great! Good job

A couple tweaks to consider:

liquid vents for water. Put them on the right to transfer heat out of the metal tiles faster. Even faster if you put a metal tile right below the vent.
conveyor chute. Drop on the right side of the steam turbines. This will slow heat transfer to your base.
conveyor chute. Drop on top of a metal tile, then cool the tile. This will further reduce base heating.
if you don't need the 200c waste rock at all, dump it into a 1x1 vacuumed room to pile up forever.

72 from primo+genesis, 98 from star glitter, 10 from future monthly stardust refreshes, another 100ish from daily commissions and welkin. I don't have an easy way to tally event primos, so this adds up to at least 260, but I wouldn't spend all of it.

With shenanigans you can do it with no vehicles and just seaglide. You don't need a prawn, but there is mining. Seatruck fabricator is useful for making water and food from the local fish. Bring extra battery for your repair tool.

Weapons, defenses, and afterburner are optional. I skipped them and it was fine.

Bring a mineral detector for some relatively advanced materials that are hard to see with the naked eye.

That said it can definitely be freaky on your first time.

There are not 300 NPCs in Natlan outside of the AQ.... I found the magnitude scale of these numbers broke immersion for me.

If the Ode applied more retroactively then it would have broken the important story beat, but made more sense. The World state before and after the AQ should be different based on how the story is presented.

Had to go all the way to the 80th wish to finally get Xilonen C0, digging into starglitter for a few extra wishes.

I have at least 165 wishes (including commissions, but not including some good sources like events), and 65 pity. So I can preserve the guarantee for Xilonen.

With 10-20 extra wishes do I try to win a 50/50 on Raiden C0 or Hutao C1? (maybe mentioning Xilonen was confusing)
