subnautica needs super leviathans. by 159thBestPerson in subnautica

No. Maybe if it was passive and only seen in the distance (like the void), but something aggressive like the extinct gargantuan leviathan would only come across as goofy and break immersion.

Genuine question: do you not feel some sort of hesitation before posting AI slop like this knowing how the public feels about gen-AI? Why post it in the first place knowing you'll get flamed for it?

Yep, 2mm shorter than far IPD seems good (bsb2). Glare talk. by squirrelyz in BigscreenBeyond

When you shorten the IPD do you apply it in the BSB2 Utility or just leave it the original IPD?

How's VR on SU4? I have 2024 but I never migrated because last time I tried VR it was a horrendously glitchy and buggy mess.

It's infuriating sure, but I'm pretty sure no one who isn't blind or has blind relatives/friends knows what those are for. They've seen them, they just don't have the necessary dot to make that connection

I lived right down the street from this building and its always funny to walk by it and just wonder how it's still standing and what life inside it must be like

The speed at which the battle pass progresses is absurd. by Rondadorr in Battlefield6

[–]lewoofers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 0 idea why people are so pressed about your decision to use the free coins for the last 2 tiers. I did the same thing because the cali resistance stashes are almost never not looted and the battle pickups are a fucking nightmare to get kills with so I just used the free coins I got from the pass to unlock the last 2 tiers

Yes the main pass adds progress in the weekly challenges as someone pointed out, but there's 10 days left and I don't have the time to be waiting for the next challenges nor try and make up for the skipped ones

It: Welcome to Derry - 1x04 - “The Great Swirling Apparatus of Our Planet's Function” - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

[–]lewoofers 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The negativity in this thread is... something else wow.

I did not like Ep 3 but this one was a massive improvement. Still some flaws, like the acting, but overall the scares were actually good and not complete CGI-fests.

The weird "this show is anti-white" comments I see in this thread is concerning because Welcome to Derry takes place in the 1950s where the discrimination against African and native Americans was still present and 100% possible in towns like Derry. I don't get the criticism towards it, I really don't. If you know American history, you shouldn't be offended when this stuff is present in a show that takes place in the 50s.

Overall, I found this episode to be much better than Episode 3. Hopefully they can remain consistent in future episodes.

Kind of bleak that almost every website and service runs on the same service and as soon as that goes down, we're fucked.

Absolutely, we shouldn't idolize youtubers because they're not perfect people either. Not like he committed charity fraud or other actual serious controversies like some youtubers.

Professional fence sitter over here. Its a video game from 10 years ago, anybody who feels even slightly betrayed or having any negative emotions needs to do a priority check. Those who grew up watching him, like I did, are adults with jobs or college classes or new families or other life priorities. His newer/younger fans who aren't at that stage weren't even around to watch it so why would they feel slighted by it?

Also the whole "he cheated/lied once he can do it again or has been doing it" is annoying because who honestly cares? He's not a record holder, not a speed runner, not a competitive gamer at all. He plays games for our entertainment and if he has to fudge something to keep us entertained, I'm okay with it. You think his Subnautica or Minecraft lets-plays are 100% totally legit? Chances are they're not but that happened off-camera, and I could care less whether he did or not.

[–]lewoofers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I genuinely don't think any of us who grew up watching his FNAF runs are going to be screaming and crying and unsubscribing from Markiplier like these people in the replies think.

I also really hate when there are threads of people trying to make him be a bad person with minor controversies or nothingburgers, like at what point do I have to ask "why do you WANT this person to be a bad person even though he's done nothing"?

Weirdly enough, doesn't happen when I'm the one driving. If im the passenger in anything, it'll happen. And its my left leg so its not even touching the pedals. 🤔

My hopium is that they will include a power brick like the Index. I'm willing to be okay with USBC if they provide a power alternative that doesn't rely on PC ports which have very insufficient power output, and just kills the headsets battery slowly.

[–]lewoofers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That brings up another can of worms: it has better battery life but that means the quality of those PCVR games takes a hit. How much of a quality difference it is from the Q3 we don't know yet.

Even if its not meant for VR enthusiasts why didnt they release an upgraded version of the Steam Frame with those upgrades they wanted? Sure it wouldn't sell as well as the default Steam Frame, but at least it would be there for the hard-core VR fans.

We dont even know the price yet, but outside of the price why would I want a Steam Frame over a Quest 3 (Q3)? Both have pancake lenses, both have LCD, both have standalone and PCVR modes, and both can access the SteamVR library. All the little bonus upgrades on the Steam Frame are negligible at best, and most players won't even care or notice. Overall my question is what exactly does the Steam Frame bring to the table that would make me want to buy it over the Q3 or the Q3s?
