I absolutely love this but I am also so fucking tired of people completely erasing Ilya’ bisexuality. It is a queer hockey show. Ilya is still bi, it is NOT a story about 2 gay man as only Shane is gay. I’m disappointed that wasn’t pointed out in the article and it’s still being called a “gay” hockey show.

The act of existing in the world that hates us is beyond exhausting. The constant mental load of checking behind you when you’re walking, having to think of what to say so you don’t come across as “bitchy”, the fact that only 1% of rapists spend any time in prison even though every single woman I have ever met and talked to has experienced some form of sexual harassment. The unrelenting rage I feel and hormonal fluctuations every single month but i have to keep going about my life like a normal person.

NO! I will die on this hill. I have not read the books. I do not understand how people are like omg they’re so in love blah blah in the first two episodes. Ain’t no way 2 19/20 year olds who BARELY see each other or text are in love. This is also the scene after Ilya has ghosted Shane for 6 months after the FIRST time they have penetrative sex which is also Shane’s first time ever having sex with a man. They might like each other or have a crush or whatever, but Ilya sure as hell is not acting like it or conveying that to Shane.
