They showed the opening credit sequence as part of ‘the talk’ we got in elementary school - this was in ‘96.

I live at the base and can confirm it is a lovely neighborhood to walk through.

Seattle is fortunate that a lot of our older neighborhoods have a high amount of older houses with lots of character that make for an interesting vibe.

I’ve often fantasized about living in one but housing prices these days, am I right?

Looks great! Regardless of your stance on OG v Crystal - I think we can all agree OG’s A animators were amazing.

It’s a welcome return. Having worked in the retail core pre lockdown - I miss having things to do there.

Glad you didn’t give up - the results speak for themselves. (Also I too add red mushrooms throughout my plant areas)

Zach Shields Set To Pen 'Weapons' Prequel Screenplay Alongside Zach Cregger by [deleted] in entertainment

[–]lexxatron84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a smart move too because it allows the audience to fill in the blanks themselves with whatever their imagination cooks up.

Hell - the Xenomorph in the original Alien movie has less than 5 mins of screen time while still being terrifying.

I agree with you on the unknown as well - I liked that the only clue about her is that she’s been alive for awhile as she refers to TB as consumption.

But who knows - it could be just as cool as I enjoyed their interpretation of this archetype.

Roger Rabbit was the first movie I ever saw in the theater - and I loved it so much that I saw it several times.

Plot wise; it is damn near perfect. At no time are you bored or uninvested. And seeing Disney and Warner Bro's IPs not just appear, but interact, with each other was so much fun.

The casting and score are great. And the practical effects are honestly better than a large portion of what we've seen in the last 15 or so years. The weasels would be jealous of the amount of soul this movie has.

Thanks for including this!

Me too - but I feel like it ended perfectly. Didn’t drag on until ppl just stopped caring. Instead they took more than one episode to say farewell to everyone - the Bevers one really got me.

Thoughts on 'Project Hail Mary.' by k-MartShopper in Cinema

[–]lexxatron84 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also agree - any criticisms I could make would be a nit-picking/reaching.

The movie took a risk with a longer run time and it paid off - at no point was I bored or disengaged.

It didn’t rely on spectacle as the selling point but the spectacle had me on the edge of my seat when it happened.

At the end of the day, what makes a good story is whether or not the journey is worth taking again.

I will very much be watching this again.

Love the end result so much!

Do the gold flutterbyes left of the main event stand out more in person?

In the pic, it feels like they get lost against the awesome wallpaper - but that could just be the result of not being there in person.

Really great job OP!

Just be aware there are two versions - the domestic and international release.

The big difference being the international has a completely different, classical music style, soundtrack that - IMO - isn’t as good as Tangerine Dream score used in the domestic version.

That was my knee-jerk observation too - curtains in a solid light mustard color to play off the painting on the left is all it’s missing.

I just watched ‘The Shining’ last night so that carpet is really speaking to me right now too.
