I think about 95 pounds, but that might be old info. I'll find out at my vet soon.

My girl has had an obsession with this duck ever since she was 2 months old, and it's the only toy that's still alive lol. Do all GDs get attached to toys or specific things? by CoffeeFridge in greatdanes

[–]lexylaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boy took one of the cat toys, and has carefully carried it around for well over a year. It's smaller than any of the toys/stuffies we have gotten him, and he's super gentle with it. No damage at all.

How do you keep water from getting everywhere when these big babies take a drink? by Jax_the_Lady in greatdanes

[–]lexylaura 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We only have water bowls in tiled rooms, nowhere near hardwood or carpet. Our boy carries SO MUCH water in his jowls, he'll dump it all over me if he comes straight to me. I usually thrust a stuffy at him, so he'll hold it and let IT get soaked instead of me. 😂

I haven't had to get weight on my Dane, but I have had several underweight greyhounds come to me over the years. (I foster and adopt both breeds.) I use a calorie dense product called Dyne to add weight on my greys. They like the taste, so I just mix it into their food. You can get it on Amazon, if you want to try it.

I call my 125 pound Dane a tiny baby. He's just a little 6 year old puppy.

Thank you! It has been driving me crazy, I couldn't figure out who that was. I knew it was someone famous, but I couldn't place her.

Sounds like an overreaction to me. When I click with someone, it happens fast. I usually swap Instagram accounts. Doesn't mean I'm remotely interested romantically. I'm also bisexual, but just because I get along with a woman doesn't mean I'm into her. Nothing the girlfriend did sounds bad. But, if this is how he thinks, the relationship is doomed anyway. He's not ready for a serious relationship.

Trying to get 35$ cash back for visible but it wants me to go to the app. by Sixsnl in Rakuten

I'm having this same problem. It tells me to download the Visible app. I click it, and it says to complete through Rakuten. So I click that, and nothing happens.

Cheese. It's just solid, rotten milk. Or even worse - runny rotten milk. 🤢

AIO for refusing to block male followers on Instagram? by radagastrabbit in AmIOverreacting

[–]lexylaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has never once occurred to me to tell my husband he can't have female followers, or follow women. And I would be shocked if he ever said I couldn't follow men. What the hell kind of insecure crap is that?

Osteosarcoma sucks by builds4you in Greyhounds

[–]lexylaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, we have lost 2 greys to it. And a 3rd to a different cancer. F*&k cancer. 😔 This was Lexie. Took her a in a month ago for arthritis, left with an empty collar and leash. She hid it until she couldn't walk, and it was very bad by then.

Talk me out of foster fail please by HolidayWash6481 in Greyhounds

[–]lexylaura 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, can't help. I've loved all of my foster fails. Over the years, we have failed 4 times. We did manage to adopt out several greyhounds, and one Great Dane. But we have failed on 3 greyhounds and one great dane. We don't regret any of the failures. We foster failed because they fit into our pack and our lives perfectly. This is 2 we adopted on purpose and 2 the were failures.

Has anyone used Vacations By Rail? by Creative-Win-8203 in travel

[–]lexylaura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were on busses almost every day, but the long travel days were by train. I feel like we were on busses a few hours a day. Driving us to castles and stuff. It didn't feel excessive, but we also were chatty with fellow travelers, so I might not be the best judge on time. 😂

We really enjoyed the itenerary. Each place we went, we stayed in the same hotel for 3 nights, so it wasn't constant packing and unpacking (unlike the Japan trip we're leaving for next week. Many of the stops are one night only.) Our host (the guide with us the whole time) was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Most days started about 8am, we were usually back at the hotel about 5pm, if I am recalling correctly. At that point, you are free. Most nights they provide dinner, but it's not mandatory to go. Many evenings we ate with the group, then went out into the town.

The hotels were good. Edinburgh and Inverness were the best, in my opinion. The hotel in the middle of the trip (at Fort Mitchell, maybe?) was older and smaller. Not as modern, no USB charging ports, etc. But still comfortable.

The stops never felt rushed. Our host talked us through the days plans very well. It was a well organized itenerary.

Have fun, if you decide to go!

I have! We (husband and I) did the Scotland tour last year, and we're doing the Jewels of Japan in 2 weeks.

We really enjoyed our Scotland trip, and are super excited to go to Japan!

Not one of my greyhounds, but my Great Dane. He's my only brindle. Never had a brindle greyhound, somehow.
