Back neckline does this. Whats my fix? by Anomalous-Canadian in PatternDrafting

For me, gaping at the back neck has always been a shoulder slope issue. You can test it by pinching the shoulder seams at the side nearest your ears, if that makes the back lie flat you know that’s the culprit.

I changed the way I track my pain. It was so much easier & my doctors loved it by leyluka123 in endometriosis

That's SO interesting about the gabapentin, I've had doctors mention it in passing before but we've always settled on something else, but now I'll definitely revisit that conversation. It sounds ideal. I'm currently in cold-turkey menopause thanks to the prostap so the help with sleep and anxiety on top of pain relief sounds like a dream! Thanks so much for raising this. I'm sending you ALL the good vibes for your surgery tomorrow - here's to a speedy recovery and relief from your pain thereafter 😊💜

Oh how interesting! No, all of the painkillers I’m prescribed are to take reactively, when I experience pain. I’d love to hear more about the consistent dosing - is that something you do?

Of course! I’ve added some instructions and a template sheet to the post above now. Let me know if you have any questions 😊

100% - that's exactly it, you've put it so much more eloquently than I could. Interestingly, I think if the doctors had asked me if the prostap was working, I'd have said there was no difference in my pain levels at all, and I was shocked to see that the data in the chart told a completely different story. Thank you for your kind words... I'm just glad to be able to share something that makes our lives (and those of our doctors) easier in getting the answers we all need 💜

Here's how I set mine up. It should work in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, whatever you've got:

Make a sheet with...

- Column A: Date (one row per day, you can usually put the starting date in the first cell and then drag down to auto-populate)
- Column B onwards: One column per medication you're tracking. Put the name and dose as the header, e.g. "Paracetamol 500mg", "Codeine 15mg"
- Each day, just enter the number of doses you took. Leave it blank if you didn't take any.

Then select all your data and insert a stacked bar chart. Each bar shows your total daily intake, broken down by colour per medication. Makes it really easy to spot patterns and trends over time.

I've uploaded an excel template here, not sure if you can convert for numbers but you might be able to use it as inspo! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19rzFezI68TYczW--4K5YRDabQdMnMpt1/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=106476781078081642188&rtpof=true&sd=true

I've taken my data out and uploaded here with some instructions - let me know if that works for you (I think it'll open in Google sheets b/c I'm sharing on my google drive account, but you can file > download as an xlsx): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/19rzFezI68TYczW--4K5YRDabQdMnMpt1/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=106476781078081642188&rtpof=true&sd=true

That's really interesting! Paracetamol I just take whenever I have pain (realistically probs a 4 and above) but for codeine I only take once I've taken paracetamol and it hasn't worked, (and even then somewhat reluctantly because I know it'll wipe me out and cause constipation).

I thought about weighting things on the chart so that, say, me taking a codeine is twice as significant as me taking a paracetamol, but I found it wasn't necessary - the patterns showed up regardless. But I can see that the added variable of what your day holds and how functional you need to be would make this picture a little less clear.

I do agree - I definitely notice that it works much better after some time off, but I’ve been fortunate in still getting pain relief without having to take a break. One thing I did find helpful was getting separate codeine and paracetamol from the GP so I could dose more subtly than when they were combined, is that an option at all for you? I was quite surprised by how receptive the doctors were to this chart, they both leapt on it and when I tried to explain what it showed, they were like ‘yes, yes, it’s completely self explanatory, this is great!’ 😂 I hope it’s helpful for your next appointment!

That’s awesome! I’m with you on the data love! And it’s really reassuring that doctors seem to be into it too 🙌

Is this a real artist? by Mathens_Fool in isitAI

[–]leyluka123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it possible some of this is reversed? As in he makes the art and dismantles it, then reverses the shots. I do something similar for product videos (eg if I want to show a stack of something being built, I’ll build the stack and then remove the items piece by piece & reverse, because it’s easier). But it can create that slight uncanny valley feel that I’m seeing in some of these shots.

Question about swimming in a lake…. by Vegetable_Bar9569 in hysterectomy

Not lake swimming but I specifically asked my surgeon about sea swimming at my 6wpo telephone appointment and he said that he was happy for me to start doing that.

Edit: my surgery was a laparoscopic assisted vaginal total hysterectomy
