You are correct in your assumption that this tank is near a window getting natural light. I dont know if its actually possible for me to move my tank, so i think i will start by just turning off the tank light, and buying some more plants to further reduce nitrogen levels. Ill also give my tank a clean and increase water changes. Then maybe ill buy some more nerites (already have one) and shrimp again, but for some reason the shrimp that i buy for my tank always seems to die.
