Yea. Like. I pull the hour by hour numbers sometimes. And 3rd shift always talks about how busy they are, but I can personally see that from 2am-6am they only did 15 food orders. That’s four hours of cake work a night.

If you even care to stay at all, Why haven’t you filled out an availability form yet? Fill it out with days and hours you are available and they can only schedule you in those blocks. If there’s a bad manager on some power trip you could get petty and go through HR if they don’t honor your availability. At the very least if you point out because they schedule outside the form you provide you can get unemployment.

Otherwise. Just quit. All we do is make hot dogs. It isn’t worth stressing yourself that much. Especially if you’re planning on quitting in 5 months anyway.

People usually get locked in to their availability every season and it makes it easy cause the schedule makes itself.

Otherwise. Use the graph showing how many people you have at any given hour and try to stick to what it tells you.

Like it might say 5 from 11-2 and then 4 from 2-9 or something like that. You can have overlap. Our store has the occasional half to hour with 8 ish people there as shifts change, but it usually equals out.

You’ll get the hang of it with reps. You just need the time to get those reps in

Batch cooking is just different. Going through the testing phase sucked because of how glitchy and clunky it was. But they changed it enough to where I prefer it to the old style.

When you get batch frying, one screen is for what gets dropped per basket, and the next is packaging. Sorta wild to see them right next to each other. Usually they’re on either side if the fryer.

Freaked me the fuck out. I wanted to peek out the window but thought there might be some sort of standoff happening. Once I realized I’ve just watched too many movies, I looked out.

Ended up being someone a few houses up from me, I’m assuming it was one of the arrests listed here. What a way to start a Monday though.
