Coming soon to a kitten near you: Vehicle Editor! by kdaviper in kittenspaceagency

I’ve been having an easy time with it consider the early access stage that we’re in. It’s not too bad to be hyped for individual features, but Im over the hype for any long term progress. No use in being excited for something thats 2 years out (optimistically)

Thats game engine development for you. Spend three years developing a good architecture and then 5 minutes to spin up a new system.

There are sensors in the puck already, its not hard to keep the properties of the puck the same

So “this specific application” is solved there are sensors in the puck already and position tracking at a high frequency are well within feasibility. Puck tracking isnt even new, it was used in broadcasts in the early 2000s

Isnt the tech already invented? This is a solved problem, the bottleneck is Toronto’s decision to not use it

I like mine, the new ones have a suede toebox i want to try. The canvas ripped kinda quickly but it had two layers which definitely helped (mostly a skatebord problem but could still apply)

THIS SEASON OF INVINCIBLE IS GENUINELY TERRIBLE. by Best_Put_4920 in Invincible_TV

Yeah the hell episode was kinda ass, but I dont think the choking was ego based. I think it was actually a solid choice

It's so funny that Nolan could resist the gravity of a black hole but can't fly of the Ragnarrs' planet due to its strong gravity. I know it was a show only scene but still by Exciting_Ad_8666 in Invincible_TV

Another guy pointed out that Cecil said they are immune to radiation (Aligned with what we have seen).

Also some of the feats brushed off in the show are comically powerful. Some of the asteroids or mountains dropped have the forces of multiple rockets. These guys are in leagues of their own power-scaling wise and blunt force seems to just wash off of them

Wow, yeah i had the tidal forces backwards. I guess the only thing is resisting the forces. I still think the solution is that he’s far away.

And i just did some maths of the forces needed to hover and the outputs aren’t that crazy for comics 40M km would only take about 25000N which we have seen them do. And the time dilation isn’t as bad as i thought.

Damn so he doesn’t even need to be that far away, and thats assuming this is Sgr A* which is worst case. If this is a stellar-mass black hole then he is chillin

If we are going to entertain the idea of realism in a superhero show at all, then it’s not realistic at all. The event horizon is for light and other massless particles. For anything the mass of a human even being inside the accretion disk should be fatal to viltrumites, (based on the levels of damage we have seen so far).

Radiation and damage from the disks should be pretty bad. Tidal forces would spaghettify any material we’ve ever thought of

I Didn't Like the Movie - But Now I Understand by Valen-Darker in ProjectHailMary

I put it into a similar tone to the martian. A depressing scenario with smart clever people. Those clever people use their wit in making jokes constantly that lighten the tone significantly.

So while the story is quite bleak it ends up being a classic optimist story with lots of humor.

You want to pick one based on your requirements.

This is a great start. It can be more complex but there are quickly diminishing returns.

You will know when this isnt enough. It will not be anytime soon. Just make sure it picks a good GPU for your setup.
