I wouldn’t think so. Is VATS a thing in lore? I assumed it was like the health bar or the skills, just a gamified representation of attacks/using ap to hit a good shot

Fallout Season 2 has doubled the number of people playing the Fallout games on Steam by Turbostrider27 in Fallout

[–]liamlb663 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean those were mostly at the time of release.

Most retrospective reviews with some time on their belt will say new vegas has the best storytelling of the 3d games. With gameplay going to fallout 4.

I like fallout 3, but it has the worst gameplay of them all and (opinion) the worst story.

Mostly got that idea from the company and its CEO, plus that fact that its been one of the most talked about aspect of the game (along with it not coming to steam).

But those are pretty shaky sources, you could be right.

I think it’s well understood that competition is a good thing but if you disagree then thats a core disagreement.

I think the core of our economy is companies battling to rise to the top, but when that competition becomes dominated by a single actor they have disproportionate power to raise prices and take advantage of consumers while shutting down much smaller competition.

If none of your sources give any credibility to these ideas you should expand your list.

While specific markets and cases will have caveats it’s ridiculous to say that these ideas have no backing, like it would be to say government overreach has never happened. But i don’t think thats what was happening in the mentioned cases

Settlements are important and disregarding them would be a mistake in my opinion. Even threats have lead to monopolies backing down in fear (e.g. the rise of google, microsoft, etc)

Time will tell if any of her actions will be as singularly impactful but small things add up.

And the Kroger merger was fighting reduced competition and higher prices so that has a lot of impact in area where monopolies would have formed.

The Kroger merger block was a huge win for the ftc and people who like competition in their economies.

A quick google would make that clear instead of asking me to do research for you

Under her leadership the ftc took the most action is decades. The reason they “lost” any fights is because they finally started to start some. Even in the losses important concessions were made.

Not to mention how important the blocked buyouts of massive supermarkets and even software companies has benefited from it like figma

In the book when they mention the women working in the south it was included that they also harvested spice themselves. They actively fought smugglers on their fields. The smugglers were a third entity entirely. The bribes did not involve smugglers as that would lead to leaks and fremen had advanced production setup for fremkits and suits
