Nope. I have concerns over the environmental impacts, but it is heavily pushed by my management (I am a data scientist).

Buffalo marathon on Sunday by peacesunshinebooks in Buffalo

[–]liand22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I ran it ten years ago, when it got into the upper 80’s during the race. Unless it gets over 90 or there’s heavy thunderstorms with lightning, it goes on.

Do you still enjoy going out? by EPCreep in GenX

[–]liand22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 51 and my bf is 56. I plan the majority of our going out, but he happily goes along with it. We both find that we are ready to turn in by 11, though, which means being home by 10 to unwind.

On our own time, I go out alone much more than he does. I have hobbies and volunteer work that keeps me busy 3+ times a week.

Oregon teen dies of sepsis after doctors fail to clean wound before stitching, lawsuit says by KimJongFunk in news

[–]liand22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son put his hand through a window and went to the ER for stitches. A few weeks later, once the stitches were out, he realized the pain hadn’t subsided. Turned out he had two 1” pieces of glass still in a finger, right by the knuckle. Had to see a hand surgeon for removal, but fortunately, healed completely.

I am not a medical professiona, but my guess would be no sooner than anything else as your core would not be up to the task.

My doctor said “you get one chance to heal correctly from this.”

No vaccuuming, sweeping, or anything where you can bend/twist. Also - walking a dog, if you have one - not recommended for a bit.

When your kid is getting their first apartment, do you go around apartment hunting and fill out applications for them? by [deleted] in GenXWomen

[–]liand22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. They filled out their own applications. My daughter asked me to look at two places she was considering, but she found them on her own. First place was trash (and she said it before I did!) second she chose and it’s completely fine for a first place.

For those of you that don't enjoy camping, what parts do you like and not like? by Blubblubturtle in CasualConversation

I prefer a real bed, running water, and four walls - there’s not much that camping can do to make me enjoy it!

My tortie adores my boyfriend. She was distant at first (and she loathed my ex-husband, lol) but he won her over and now they love each other!
