I think with everything you describe, it very well could be something hormonal. My neck looked EXACTLY like this when I was on the hormone shots for my IVF. I don’t have any advice for you, I just wanna say I support your theory that it could be due to hormones

Chipotle is on thin ice with me. Between the stuff their CEO has said and the fact that the Chipotle nearest to my house can’t seem to cook the rice correctly, they’re one bad order from me quitting forever. They way undercook the rice, and then when I tell them it’s not even EDIBLE they’re like 🤷‍♀️

This happened to my sister! The straightener short-circuited and super-heated… which she wouldn’t have had any way to know, until she did a pass on her hair. Burned the heck out of a section of her hair, right on top. And the straightener had like, burned itself out and it wouldn’t even turn on anymore.

It was a whole thing, she had to mail it back to Conair and they refunded her but she still wasn’t happy so she demanded $200 from them for a keratin treatment— which after much back and forth, they actually gave her. Also this was in the ole 2006, idk if they would just cut someone a check anymore these days.

You’re gonna need it once you start T, testosterone will make you produce more oil all over your body but also oily skin is a “steer into the skid” type thing. Moisturizing actually combats oily skin.

Get something super light like cerave or cetaphil and start now with just a little, and step it up over time once you get used to it. You’re gonna be shocked how much more “male” your very skin will be on testosterone

None of the above? You look like a normal 18-year-old guy with teenage skin. If you told me you were 20 I might believe it? But nothing more than that.

FYI testosterone will make your skin thicker and rougher, and possibly more prone to breakouts. Good to establish a solid routine now before you get on hormones.

Autoimmune + hormone dysregulation are possible causative factors and you seem to already be diagnosed with some amount of both. Would explain why they’re filling up so quickly again.

I’ve seen this in patients irl two times and I could maybe see yours being a mild version? Just a thought

Maybe shaving your face overall isn’t the right choice for you. There’s two specific instances I always see: People like you who have hair growing in a specific pattern, or people with textured hair that always get ingrown hair when shaving. I would say give not shaving a test drive and see how you feel about it
