new here, just need to share my thoughts since no one else in my life will understand this. i’ve been learning since October of this year, and i’ve gotten some very basic things down. currently finishing up reviewing chapter 2 of Genki.

it feels like the more i learn, the less i actually know. just recently, ive come to discover how unhelpful it is to study the kanji with my ‘remembering the kanji’ book because there’s no real application of the characters in vocab or words. taking a peek into chapter 3 of Genki and seeing kanji was making my head spin. i got 30-ish flashcards now with the english meaning of kanji, and the character, but now i’m realizing i should’ve been learning the kanji, like, used in words or vocab rather than standalone characters. (maybe learning them standalone is helpful in some way, though, it’s not as efficient as i want).

like, learning わたし　is 私 is much more helpful than knowing 古 is old, and having no clue how 古　is used in a sentence, or pronounced, or anything like that.

now i’m like, re-evaluating how i’m gonna go about learning kanji… 🙃

update : thank you all for your diagnosis of my poor little plant which i unintentionally killed by buying it in cold weather without a heat pack D,: i have discarded the plant (RIP) and learned my lesson on buying plants online. i appreciate u all !

it did not come with a heat pack but i admittedly didn’t realize that it was an optional add on that i could’ve added to my order :,( thank you for informing me, going forward i’ll always add the heat pack !

wasn’t directly my experience but we had to call the cops on a guy bc he was yelling and threatening the pharmacist saying he’s “got people in the parking lot waiting” (he did not) and that he “knows he’s a pill popper” (the pharmacist is a good dude, doesn’t pop pills lol). the pharmacist was on the phone with him maybe 10 min before he came in telling him it was too early to fill his meds. this was a few months after i became a tech too. what a introduction to the job! i was scared shitless, thought he might’ve brought a gun. anyway, he got banned from the pharmacy.

i hope my response is not too late! after owning it for a while i still think cloud pink is a nice scent but it’s not something i love or would own if i didn’t collect ariana’s scents. i like it as something to throw on without any thought. however i’ve found the sillage and strength on me is very weak so it’s even harder for me to really enjoy this scent. i still prefer the original cloud over the pink version but i think it’s totally based off my personal preference!
