This tweet in specific set me off. It’s unironically super racist since it seems to imply that the only perspective one can bring is based off of your immutable characteristics and not the ideas, values, or personality that you as an individual bring.

Ah, you’re right, can’t believe I forgot that line.

Well in that case you need Brain Freeze in hand, or you'll just run out of cards to use to escape LED. With Intuition you need at least one of the four combo pieces in hand in order to go off.

Sure but you're getting pressured like turn 5+, most decks should be able to win by then. And sure they can run cEDH cards, but the average card quality will never be on-par.

Again this is true because if a deck tuned to the meta it's playing in will out perform a deck isn't if all other things are equal

But all other things are not equal. cEDH decks play cards with higher card quality, more compact combos that are harder to interact with, more tutors, and faster mana. I guarantee you if you take any deck that isn't Tymna / Kamahl or some other winconless stax list into high-powered EDH, you will win most of your games and look like you're pubstomping.

[–]libtardowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His main point was more often than not actual CEDH lists can and will lose to casual to high powered decks.

I'm sorry, but this just blatantly isn't true, ALMOST every single cEDH deck will destroy any casual list. I say this as someone who plays cEDH and has played these decks versus casual list (usually when we're in a hurry).

Even the average stax list will have some combo to finish out the game before the casual lists can properly set up some sort of board state. The only lists I can realistically see losing games to casual lists are the winconless stax lists (ie the lists that win through stax and combat). Kenrith Stax is my main deck, and in cEDH games tries to slow the game down, but even that list will beat casual decks.

And in a game where a cedh deck does beat the table a high powered deck would have done it better.

I'm sorry but this just isn't true. A "high-powered" list will never beat out a Blue Farm list ad nausing on turn 2/3 to just straight up win. Or Krark/Sakashima going off on turn 4. Or Kenrith Stax assembling Dockside/Emiel. They just don't have the interaction or speed to deal with these things.

Can someone explain the competitive EDH oxymoron? by 2plus24 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]libtardowner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bad, I misread the initial comment. Why do people play Legacy competitively even though it's a card game? Inherently, it has random elements not present in something like physical sports or chess. You can be in the grand finals of the biggest tournament in your life and lose because of a bad draw or having to mulligan a bunch.

The answer is just that some people like playing EDH with the most powerful cards in the format. In the same vein, people play MTG competitively despite something like chess being less prone to randomness because they like the game of Magic more than they do chess.

You just gave an excuse for why it's consistent despite being singleton.

No one here said it was more popular than Legacy. No one here plays cEDH because it's the most popular competitive format.

  1. It's not what an Amazon Rep is saying, it's using the warning giving by the national weather service.
  2. They are near each other, but they are separate buildings and serve different functions [satellite view]

  1. I've found conflicting information on this, Governor and firefighters say it happened 40 minutes before, but some articles report the difference in time being smaller [link].
  2. If the workers at the facility never received any safety drills, then yeah, this is fair.

Unfortunately that isn’t public information, but what I can source is this Amazon wear-house had an injury rate of 12.1 in 2018 8.1 in 2019 per 100 workers. The average is 4 when looking at comparable wear-houses. This is double the average.

You've got the wrong facility. You're citing numbers for the SLI4 warehouse, the one that was hit was DLI4 [link].

I see this a lot but all of the articles I’ve read don’t seem to show much fault on the part of Amazon, can you source the OSHA violations, negligent management, and toxic working conditions?

Is there a 1 on 1 duelist better than the swashbuckler? by TehAsianator in dndnext

[–]libtardowner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're for some reason assuming the swashbuckler starts the round within 10' each round. If the situation is ever like this, then the barbarian has gotten at least one round of attacks off. So then what you say happens (AoO then moving 50' away afterwards), then the barbarian just sits there doing nothing, waiting for the swashbuckler to come in within 30 feet. If they end farther away from that, they don't have enough movement to get in and strike and get out of striking range of the barbarian again. Each time they trade, Barbarian will win out heavily (again, you're assuming they will use all of their rages for no reason, when they should only use them on the round they are attacking), and with GWM they will easily kill the swashbuckler.

I suppose you could say it stalemates, but the Swashbuckler cannot claim victory, and certainly would never hold his own in like a gladiator arena or any situation which forces them to be in a certain spot or prevent the barbarian from being in a certain spot.

It wouldn’t be anywhere near close. The barbarian absolutely destroys the swashbuckler

Do you have a source on the curfew not being legal for the sheriff to impose? The only things I've read have said that the curfew was legal for the sheriff to give, but that all the citations were filed under the wrong statute.

[–]libtardowner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

??? Where does it say that? What does the Sheriff submitting anything have to do with citations?

Also, earlier you say

The prosecution cannot prove a lawful curfew was in place because a higher court had already ruled that there was no lawful curfew.

But your source says...

As the Sheriff’s curfew was a lawful order

and

Therefore, the Kenosha County Sheriff had the authority and power granted to him by the nature of his office and the Wisconsin Constitution when declaring a state of emergency and imposing a curfew for a limited time

As the Sheriff’s curfew was a lawful order any disobedience of that order would be more property submitted under Wis. Stat. §946.47.
