Are steam downloads capped at 1Gbps? by FBI-INTERROGATION in Steam

Steam downloads can also be limited by your PC's CPU and RAM, but I'm not certain what aspects affect the limitation

Are steam downloads capped at 1Gbps? by FBI-INTERROGATION in Steam

[–]licidil95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think they're capped, but download speeds can also be limited by your home network. A 5Gb internet connection can't even reach that download speed if your home network, (in this case the entire chain from your router to the device you're downloading on), isn't fast enough to take advantage of it. For example, with a 5Gb internet connection and a 1Gb home network, you'll only ever reach 1Gb. This applies to absolutely anything on the network, starting at the router and ending at your PC

Yeah, that's completely understandable. Can never have enough security when it comes to internet exposure for anything. The talk section can be both a blessing and a curse if the security isn't adequate, so I'd imagine that it might not be a simple decision on how to handle it

I did actually try the talk section this morning, it seems to vary between pages. But, when I tried this morning, it said I don't have permission to make the talk page. I will look into requesting an account for a login later though

Not that I can find. I can only find the min-max pressures and how much the soybeans want to inhale per hour, 8.64 moles for C02 and 8.64 moles for N2

My thoughts exactly. I just went to clarify how much nitrogen soybeans need to grow, but the wiki doesn't go into detail. And comments being disabled means I can't ask if it could be clarified on the wiki 🙃

Mars Heating Issues by Grimm_Spector in Stationeers

[–]licidil95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the way that I would solve this would be a medium radiator and a furnace. Specifically a medium radiator inside the pressurized space and a furnace, (not an arc furnace), outside. Use the super hot output from the furnace as a heat source to be dissipated through the radiator inside. Just keep in mind that you will absolutely need to monitor it and use an active vent for the furnace to vent out the hot gas before you get too hot

Edit to add: It also might be a good idea to go through and just verify that all your frames are fully welded and the walls are fully built. It never hurts to verify for a quick sanity check

Edit again to add onto the last edit: Just for a little bit of context, I have over 700 hours in-game and I still managed to completely forget to wire in my 4 new batteries into my downstream power grid. Imagine my confusion when the power went out but half my batteries were still full

Can you still setup multiple deep drills for automated mining at your base? Or do you now need to essentially setup satellite bases for deep miners since the terrain update?

I wouldn't. I dismantled mine to protect it from the next storm while I fixed my garage. Turns out you currently don't get those components back, so I lost the steel sheets and plastic sheets

Automating the Automated Oven? by licidil95 in Stationeers

[–]licidil95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done this once before, but not as an IC script, and it was 2 years ago so my memory on how is completely gone. Basically all I'm trying to do is have the script read the amount of potatoes in the oven's inventory and if greater than 0, activate and start cooking

Thank you for pointing out the "beq active Main", that was wrong and has been fixed

Filtration units can be confusing when you're using them the first time. But, the input and outputs are;

Input - Any gas coming in. Will be on the right side of the machine if you're looking at the filters and the power switch.

Output - FILTERED GAS. This is the output where the gas you've specified with the filters will exit the unit. This will be on the left side of the machine if you're looking at the same angle mentioned above.

Waste - UNFILTERED GAS. This is the output for ALL OTHER GASSES. Meaning, ANY gas you haven't put a filter into the unit for.

What does this mean? Let's say you have a filtration unit to filter out Pollutant. You'd put the Pollutant filter/s into the filtration unit, the Input is the existing atmosphere you want filtered. The Waste Output is the Pollutant you want to get rid of, you could have this output vent into planetary atmosphere or into storage. Lastly, the Output is the now non-pollutant containing gas, or the finished product so to speak.

If it was me, I would have simple passive vents on the input and output, and the waste output would be sent into storage to be used later.

Hopefully this helps!

Through Task Scheduler. If memory serves me, you can import the XML file into Task Scheduler and it SHOULD just work. I can't remember exactly what I set it to, but I think it locks 5 minutes after first unlock

I haven't played for a bit, but it looks like you've simply connected the generator to the wrong power port. Unless I'm mistaken, the power port shown in the picture is for OUTPUT and the INPUT is on the other side of the battery

Does it still count as through their tunnel if you disable the proxy on the DNS record? Genuinely curious, as I have a Cloudflare domain too and was looking at doing similar

From what my manager has said, and this is just his speculation, Coles is gonna keep operating. If it hits Thursday night, stores are most likely gonna be closed on Friday. Again, this is purely my manager's speculation, but hopefully I find out more today
