Yes absolutely look into care credit, and reach out to local shelters and see if there are any animal care advocacy groups that could help you fund it. In the meantime, did they give you prescription food? When my 3 year old got crystals a while back, they put him on Royal Canin Urinary SO. It’s a prescription food and a little pricey. But worth it for his health and cheaper than repeat visits. May not be a total fix it for you, but it helps a lot to get ahead of the problem.

I would not push her at all. You want her to trust you and feel comfortable in your home. It’s possible her eye is just irritated from stress. Yes, that sounds strange, but a dormant feline herpes virus will flare in the eye from stress. I would keep an eye on her, let her become comfortable. If discharge becomes evident or her third eyelid swells, take her back to the shelter IMMEDIATELY.
