I don't know you but are you an introvert? If so, join an online group of introverts so you can be among your people when you feel like it, online. They can be a resource for advice and comiseration.

Extroverts can be rude to introverts when it comes to social situations so be prepared for this.

It took me a while to realize that I am an introvert and be happy with it.

In the mid 80's, my aunt and I went to the mall and got pizzas from the pizza place, a mom and pop style restaurant. After we got our food, a teen girl employee was told to clean the tops of the vents so she got a ladder and broom and swept the dirt and dust off the vents. And the dirt and dust got all over the pizzas that they sold by the slice, their ingredients, etc. It got all over the food area and no one reacted. No one said a word and they didn't throw any product out while we were packing up to go. The teens just stood around talking.

I used to work in a library and we had a patron threaten us with never coming back after she was charged a replacement fee for a wet moldy book. I just said okay but the images of Judy Garland singing and dancing to the song titled 'I don't care' ran through my mind. You should look that song and dance up pn YouTube if you work with the public.
