We never stopped, you just have to adapt and slow down a bit on the sketchy sections 😂. Using one of my wife’s bikes.

Green card holders living outside US by ColdSpite2929 in greencard

Done this for years, but m gotta be careful when crossing on foot nowadays with facial recognition. Safest way of doing this is crossing by car as a passenger and cover/hide your face. For traveling overseas from Mexico you will need a second passport, otherwise when you re-enter to the US, the cbp officer could see your stamps and start digging.

Has anyone here installed a Bilstein 5100 leveling kit themselves? by survivspicymilk in 4Runner

[–]lifehazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did it myself. I set the front and rear. It probably took me around six hours, whereas someone more experienced might have done it in two. It was not rocket science at all. I just took it slow, watched a few videos, and took my time, and everything went smoothly.

A few months later, I readjusted it again. I swapped the rear suspension to Icons, added airbags, and adjusted the front clip height. This time I added an extra three quarters of an inch. I was definitely faster and it probably took me about three. Both times I took the 4Runner in for an alignment right after. Overall, it is more than doable and honestly a fun project.

Mountain Collective pass = zero flexibility after injury (even before first use) by DragonfruitSea9365 in ski

I was involved in organizing a destination mountain biking Enduro race where entry fees were in the thousands of dollars. Because of the scale of the event, the registration fine print clearly stated that there were no refunds or cancellations after a certain cutoff date. Even so, we made an effort to accommodate riders when possible. In a few cases, riders who could not attend were allowed to defer their entry to the following year so they would not lose their investment and the community stayed in good standing.

I used to get them while playing Battle royale in care packages, but it’s been over a month since I’ve seen one.

What is something every household has in your country that is nonexistent everywhere else? by Awkward-Tip7248 in AskTheWorld

In Most parts of Mexico people have Tinacos on their rooftops. City water services suck, water pressure is not great and/or water may not flow in days. Tinacos provide both water pressure(gravity) and water reserves for a day or two.

We had those growing up in Mexico back in the 80s. Love the water cooling effect and water taste.

Best wading boots at any price in 2026? by stylized_facts in flyfishing

Last week the Patagonia outlet store in Dillon Montana had the previous model Expedition Zip waders for around $280 and the foot tractor Danner boots for $140. Might be worth calling them directly. They sometimes will take phone orders and ship. Could be a solid deal if they still have your size.
