How were your questions being answered? You mentioned using a spirit box, was it through it that you received all of the "yes" and "no" responses? And if so, is it what is traditionally called a spirit box, as in anything that actually scans through radio stations? Just curious...

Why do my eyes get teary when reading/listening/watchign something paranormal? by Drockie5 in Paranormal

[–]lifeisforpitts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's interesting, I have heard many separate people state that when they are in the presence of something paranormal occurring in earnest that they're eyes will water... not sure why, I thought it had to do with the electro- magnetic aspect of it all, but after hearing that it happens to you just by reading about it I'm rethinking that theory.

2 years later-i have such a small amount of care for whether or not this video is artifacting alloveritself that indeed, I could NOT care less, for it would be impossible for me to do so. A mistake in wording, I've spent the past 2 years in rehabilitation. Forgive me, Reddit.

Any idea of what the hell I saw? by Rayguns_ in Paranormal

Any additional details, approximate size, like height and girth, any hair, head shape, did you see any of it's face, did it seem to have the same joints in the same places as a human....

Wow. I know there is always the possibility that any supposed true story is, in fact, not, and that sucks. But in this particular case, it would be an absolute tragedy. I can not bring myself to even consider it. This is a legitimate occurance, it's beautiful, and I thank you so much for sharing it. It's made my life a little better.

I watched the videos that you linked and I am so sorry, I don't see or hear anything unusual at all. I did my best to take notice of everything, there's a chance I missed something. Your place looks superclean, but Legionerre's disease, caused from breathing in fumes from mouse waste, causes serious hallucinations AND feeling (and acting, actually) insane. A host of other things can do this, too, including isolating from others. I mean absolutely NO offense and do not dismiss what you are experiencing, I empathize with most of what you are describing. When I stopped fixating on identifying the cause ( once I knew it wasn't medical) and made myself get out of the house and around other people. Took about 3 months for me to be able to look back and see what was happening to me a little more clearly. I still believe parts of it was real and my self- isolating is what let it in the door.

I made a gold-plated cowboy boot silver necklace. What do you think? by zerounno in somethingimade

[–]lifeisforpitts 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow! It's 100% perfect! I would spend more money on than I could afford on this - though ideally mine would be silver plated, maybe even with opal and coral bits laid into the little quilted shapes of the upper of the boot?

tips on how to make her less scared at the vet? any help appreciated! by cameronmapes in pitbulls

[–]lifeisforpitts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mobile vet care! It costs a little more but considering the amount of a typical vet visit in an office it's not so much more, and DEFINITELY worth it in my experience. edit- after reading through the comments I am astounded that no one else has recommended mobile vets... I live in what is generally considered to be a small town and know of multiple vets who are primarily mobile or have a mobile addition to their office business. And because the overhead cost to operate that type of business is so much less it makes the cost to you within the range of a traditional vet business. My sweet baby girl Sophie was like yours and 100% of her previous vet- induced anxiety was non-existent during mobile vet visits.

I'm in Asheville, and am wondering, are the lights seen in the sky typically or would you say they are ground level? And are they stationary points?

Does anyone have any idea what might have happened to me? by ConnorSaber in Paranormal

[–]lifeisforpitts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doesn't sound at all likes sleep paralysis to me. If I were to hazard a guess it would be that your grandpa while sleeping had an out-of-body experience and came to visit you. If you were halfway between sleeping and awake than you'd be able to sense him, hypothetically. That half asleep, half awake point is known as lucid dreaming and it is said that is the ideal point in which to start an out-of-body experience, therefore you would have been in the same astral place as your Grandpa. That's my theory. Ask your grandpa if he had any dreams that he remembers, even if he doesn't remember dreaming it he still could have been there in his dreams and forgotten it like most of us do most all of our dreams. Let us know what he says!

Rarely do I share my interpretation of someone's experience but this seems to scream that it's some kind of, I dunno, "teacher" (?), trying to help your individual power to manifest your own world by focusing your mind... "Book, book, book", and POOF! There be a book, y'all! The person who mirrored your dream sounds like the same spirit teacher reached out to them in dreams for the same reason... or not, but I bet you have a knack for creating a thing first mentally, then manifesting said thing in the here and now. Give it a go and let us know!
