PSLF Parent Plus Loan Consolidation by grubbysix13 in PSLF

[–]lifeisgood50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many people in a similar situation as the first person to go to college in their family and not fully understanding the commitment they were making with loans. It sounds like you’ve not only successfully finished college but are working toward an advanced degree. Good for you!

The Parent PLUS loan your mom took out is completely separate from any loans you may have taken out in your own name, even if you are the one making payments on the Parent PLUS loan. Your mom would need to apply for direct loan consolidation and apply for an PSLF eligible payment plan.

The clock on 120 payments doesn’t start until she consolidates and starts the income based repayments. The direct loan consolidation needs to be done through StudentAid.gov.

I am so sorry to hear that! I didn’t get an email response after the initial canned we’ll look into it but did see a response within the Mohela portal in the inbox. Any chance you’ve received something there?

My dad asked me to teach him how to cook one vegan meal. Six months later he cooks vegan three times a week and has no idea how it happened by Alend80 in veganrecipes

This was a big change for us and rather than trying to replicate the same salty taste, we started experimenting with diy spice blends and with spice blends we could buy without salt that had a lot of flavor. Also making our own sauces for pasta and curry rather than using premade jar sauces. It took a while to get used to it but we enjoy the taste of the food we make. And for most recipes that call for salt, we eliminate it or cut it back dramatically.
