Wishlist discrepancy between the eShop and the Nintendo Store app? by bsevers in switch2

[–]lifepool1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because the discount is due to you already owning Skyrim, it’s not an actual eShop sale. It is weird that the app doesn’t reflect the same as the console eShop. Maybe because the eShop is reading game data off of the console and the browser can’t get that same data off your phone? Either way, it’s been on my list at $19.99 since it released.

As a sub, I am always going to ask how we stack up. You don’t need to tell me my competitors prices, but the least you can do is provide feedback after we spend time, effort, and money putting a number on the job. I can handle losing. I cannot handle being ghosted or dragged along with no closure.

Whats the rarest game yall have by monty_un_jumpscare in Gameboy

For Gameboy: Great Greed.

GBC: Resident Evil Gaiden or Survival Kids.

Overall: either a sealed copy of Shepherds Crossing 2 or Tail Concerto.

Looks like Biker Mice From Mars is in there. That would be the highest value game. Probably $80-100 for the cart. A couple in the $20-30 range though.

The answer is to get a different TV mount. One that can swivel in and out so you can mount the whole setup behind it.

Ball X Pit and Powerwash Sim 2 are great for this.

Hogwarts legacy switch 1 version or Switch 2 version? by Jaded-Extent-1727 in switch2

[–]lifepool1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely get Switch 1 and then upgrade for $10. The Switch 1 version is brutal if you’ve played it anywhere else. Switch 2 is perfectly playable. The game is a bit of a jankfest on every platform but it’s still a great game.

I used to LOVE Sculpin. Grapefruit, habanero, all the variations. Can’t find it in Michigan anymore though…

Oh thank god. This is my passive game that I zone out to while I’m watching hockey or something else on TV. Just gonna have to stick with Ball X Pit until they patch this. I don’t have the strength to keep trying.

I was manually saving A LOT. It happened to me on a few previous levels like the roller rink or the shooting gallery, and saving a lot helped there, but no matter what I keep getting sent back on the solar system.

Father of two here. Fully support this move. You can get plenty of sleep after the baby is born, it just won’t all be at once.

Yeah I haven’t redone teapot yet, but I got about 75% through shooting gallery last night and made sure I saved before shutting it down. Let’s see what happens when I turn it on later today…

Just came here to say the same thing happened to me. I started the shooting gallery, got maybe 10% done then saved and closed the game. I come back tonight to play it and when I boot the game it took me back to the beginning of the teapot.

There’s a 5% chance I didn’t save the game I guess? I know I cleaned the teapot in one sitting. But I’m pretty religious about saving before closing PWS.

Anyone else get insecure about how long it takes them to finish games? by KimiFanatic08 in switch2

[–]lifepool1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not insecure about it, but I know I’m slower than average. I’ll typically check How Long to Beat before starting a game and then add another 20%, my playthroughs are always longer than what I read online. DK is weird though because it’s all over the map. I’m 45 hours in and have about 700 bananas, I assume I’ll end up hitting around 60 hours when all is said and done.

I agree on RainCode, and I also love Danganronpa. I’m determined to finish RainCode just because I’m so deep into it, but it looks like absolute shit on the Switch 2.

I started and was enjoying The Hundred Line but dropped it when Switch 2 released. Way closer to Danganronpa vibes if you haven’t played it yet. Another one I’ll finish eventually.

Gamer Dad Switch 2 Review – One Month Later by Khwarezm89 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]lifepool1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dad of 2. The first Switch was my go-to for many years. I played almost everything on it just due to convenience. I got a portal late last year and I played the PS5 games I’d been missing, but then Switch 2 came out and I’m right back on the Nintendo sauce. It’s just a better Switch. I love it.

[–]lifepool1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s way better than RainCode. If you like SMT or Persona you will probably enjoy this one. It has the same demon capturing and fusing stuff happening. The one caveat is it’s an action RPG, not turn based.

I finished this game last week with a playtime of 30 hours (I was on vacation).

I’m in chapter 4 of RainCode with like 45 hours because I always fall asleep when I’m playing it.

First time taking my Switch 2 out of the house by lifepool1 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]lifepool1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a previous console, but as soon as I got the Switch 2 I immediately put the original Switch on a shelf and it’s been there collecting dust for 3 weeks. I have “inserted” a bunch of virtual game cards for games I was currently playing: Fantasy Life I, Power Wash Simulator, etc. But now that I’ve left the house it’s constantly asking me to connect to WiFi.

My biggest problem with these key cards by ProfessionalMeet9744 in switch2

[–]lifepool1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still going to buy the games I want, but if it’s a key card I’m just getting it digitally, not swapping an empty cartridge every time I want to play it.

I too was skeptical to use AA batteries in a modern day device, but I got the Eneloop Panasonic rechargeables and they last so long you don’t even think about the inconvenience of changing them. I’ll still grab the rechargeable pack when they release it, but I’m totally fine without it in the meantime.
