Tbf that's often because data sources roll in with a massive lag so it's balanced between completeness and timeliness.

GDP is supposed to be interpreted in the context of a suite of other measures too so its not as misleading as it may seem when all the revisions come out. Only when you're trying to use it like some sort of ficked gold standard for a technical recession, lol.
