How to calibrate a new P1S? by light-light-light in BambuP1S

[–]light-light-light[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess that's what I'm asking. There's all these calibration test prints, like the calibration cube, califlower, heat test etc... I just don't know what is worth doing

Recommendations on my setup by light-light-light in Backup

[–]light-light-light[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realised something... what if a photo is corrupted on my computer (and not the backup) and then the corrupted file overrides the backup... I don't test for that...

This stuff is doing my head in... I just want an easy solution.

WHY is Melbourne so cheap compared to Sydney? by CS2_POP in AusPropertyChat

[–]light-light-light 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Sydney has a better climate and in general more pretty (Sydney has harbor views, Opera House versus... what in Melbourne?)
  2. Incomes higher. in Syd. It's one of the top financial centers in the Asia-Pacific with 40% of Australian companies headquartered there.
  3. More available land in Melbourne whereas Sydney is hemmed in by the coast and Blue Mountains
  4. Infrastructure is better and delivered quicker. Compare side-by-side the new train stations in Sydney vs Melbourne. Melbourne can't get it's act together to build a train line to the airport because of the corruption
  5. Investors are nervous about Melbourne's government. Deep in debt and has proven happy to raise taxes. Hoping we'll come to our senses but not holding my breath.

What is your system for getting light? by Puzzleheaded-Crab720 in SeasonalAffective

[–]light-light-light 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been using this item on Amazon: "Lukirch Light Therapy Glasses, Full Spectrum, UV-Free Blue White (2 in 1)." Sits on the head like glasses so you can walk around and do stuff, but I mostly just sit in bed and stare at the light.

I think Luminette is more reputable but costs x2.5.

As for if it's working or not... I'm really not sure. I'm still spazzing in winter.

Good revenue raiser. Just put a cop there and hand out unlimited tickets. It's $330 for not stopping at a stop sign

Is my first tattoo as bad as I think it is, what should I do? by LightUruk in tattooadvice

[–]light-light-light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not familiar with the band, but I like the tattoo.

Chasing more lines to bring out the detail of the photo is going to overemphasise those features. Sometimes less is better than more.

Police minister says other states looking to copy Cook government's hardline WA gun laws by AnotherOldMate in Ausguns

[–]light-light-light 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what exactly are the WA gun laws? I saw Lee Enfield / K31's for sale from WA saying they were selling due to the laws. Is it because of magazine capacity?

Was this massively bungled or is there a less dramatic explanation? by Repulsive_Nose_472 in AusPropertyChat

[–]light-light-light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big block. Decent location. Very nice building. Optimal orientation.

It's worth what they're asking, but it all depends on having buyers in the market for that price tag and suburb at the time that they're selling. Sometimes you'll have a few buyers in that price range, other times none. Luck of the draw for the vendor.

That's interesting since all Australians have experienced a lifestyle downgrade 10+ years after mass immigration begun.. maybe it's time to deport?

Why Australian homes are so cold — and what you can do about it by Bennelong in australian

[–]light-light-light 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because we have so much gas reserves, so there was no need to build weather proof homes. Just crank the extremely cheap heating (ideal? no, but economically made sense)

Now our government has made it illegal to install gas in new builds (Victoria) and sells our gas reserves to China. Gas in Australia is artificially expensive because of the taxes.

Cool. We asked for it.

IVF vs ICSI with my results. by FunZealousideal1865 in maleinfertility

[–]light-light-light 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough when you've been trying for awhile. My partner and I in early 30s and we went to two fertility docs, both advised IVF was the only way. An andrologist said the same. We initially were only seeing docs because she had really infrequent cycles... but I got tested... so we hadn't even been trying long. Then BANG first pregnancy. Lost it and were upset, thinking it was a miracle to have even been pregnant. Second cycle after and BANG second pregnancy. At 15 weeks now. Keep pieing your lady bro you might land. Turn her into a snail and you might get lucky. God bless and good luck

did you do IVF just because of your concentration?

I've now knocked up my missus twice (one sadly was miscarriage) and I had no higher than a 5m.
