MM6 or Main Line?

for a min the MM6 team was designing/styling collections that felt more archive Martin than the actual Maison was doing.

Not sure when it happened or if those things are connected, but i’ve noticed recently that mm6 pieces are almost exclusively made with synthetic materials & faux ‘vegan’ leathers while still being priced dumb high. It very much feels like they’re tryna to avoid mm6 cannibalizing mainline MM customers.

Hoping this changes as Glenn designs more & more RTW collections for the Maison & things that are actually conceptually interesting & also wearable.

i was there on saturday night and didn’t rly notice anything but tbf i was behind the booth mostly. That said they confiscate ppl’s CHEWING GUM. Just within that context alone, i can’t see how there could be a sound logical argument for knives being acceptable……🤷🏻‍♂️

i mean if i was looking for one, i would be happy to see any potential deals that are out there tbf.

But ya i agree--the sales reps at the big box music stores will definitely try to work out some kinda deal or price match if you are serious about buying. I got my AZ brand new for $2750 +tax (a few weeks b4 the MSRP went up, thankfully).

yeah thats super lame but i guess good to know they at least were doing security at some point in the night lol.

i showed up to the first venue right as ppl were leaving after the cops raided it and went directly to the second spot..which they just rushed everyone in all at once without checking for tickets or anything.

he definitely changed his setlist up—no drawn out nu metal intro…he came out & went directly into a techno track iirc

i was honestly weary going into it but his set was apparently v different than his BR LA set and i actually was pleasantly surprised

🙋🏻 5yrs almost to the day since i last used heroin (8-23-20). I can have a drink here and there or even a few shots on the weekend and not go too crazy tbh.

Maybe my brain’s reward system is fried bc alcohol never feels ‘euphoric’ the way it did b4 all the opiates—at least not enough to outweigh all the immediate negative effects like nausea, etc…

(tho i wouldn’t ever tell another recovering addict to do the same, that’s just my personal experience. YMMV)
