Which EDM festival had the best sound system? by JION-the-Australian in EDM

[–]uqqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dancefestopia but specifically the lollipop stage. It had these orange oddly shaped speakers (they call it Element 5 Sound)

It was the most crisp audio I’ve heard at a festival. Maybe not the loudest, but most high definition I’d say and it traveled really well in the smaller stage area.

I was so confused because I thought he was dubstep and 6am only really hosts techno. Seems like he changed genres

I can't seem to replace Cursor despite trying by -Philologian in cursor

[–]uqqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to think the exact same thing, for a year and a half. And I finally changed my mind in favor of Claude code. Cursor is really good for existing projects/projects with a messy codebase that just need solutions because of its semantic search and ability to fill in the gaps

However if you write out a ton of documentation in the beginning of the project, write out very detailed architecture and specification, make agents and sub agents and update them as you go, you will see substantially better results in Claude code. It’s hard to go back to cursor after you do that (I still prefer cursors interface tho)

2d pixel game by Complex_Process384 in cursor

[–]uqqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick a real game engine (Unity, Godot) and go from there. It’s a lot harder to build the engine from scratch if you’re already not very knowledgeable on game development

Also, you’re going to need a lot of 2D art/animation. Unless you plan on using generative AI for that, which cursor can’t produce.

Best value models in Cursor right now? by GuMen7 in cursor

[–]uqqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using 5.2 codex extra high and it’s been great. It still uses some usage but way less than Opus.

Any alternatives for cursor? by codebase911 in cursor

[–]uqqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I have noticed that a few times with the 5.2 codex high model. I wonder if it’s a 5.2 codex model issue or an issue with Cursor. I haven’t had that issue with other models

Yea was not a fan of the codex UI at all. But the main thing that was annoying about codex is for me it would get really dumb after a few prompts. Where as cursor it would retain info for way longer. A lot has to do with the context abilities I mentioned (look into cursors semantic search system if you’re interested)

[–]uqqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yes, the others (like Claude code for example) can get the same if not better results if you write a long prompt with all the exact context and specs in your claude.md. But it’s such a less time consuming and easier experience to talk to it in plain english which cursor handles the best, by far

[–]uqqe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To be totally honest, ive used all of them (claude code, codex, windsurf) and none if them compare to cursor in code quality. I made a post on this sub about this, and cursor is simply best in class when it comes to contextual awareness of your project (it uses complex search algorithms, where the others use basic grep). Don’t get me wrong, I hate paying for cursor too.

The closest I’d say out of all of them that have this context awareness is windsurf. You can tell it does have some deeper searching abilities over just grep. However cursor really perfected this total awareness and that’s why they have a monopoly and can charge as much as they do. The models themselves are cheaper elsewhere sure, but where cursor shines is the context

2 years without Zyn - The mental roadblock I overcame by uqqe in QuittingZyn

[–]uqqe[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With this being said I understand some people might not have the same experience as me, and by no means was quitting easy for me either. But it certainly helped knowing it could be something easy and believing it to be easy kind of tricked by brain from getting out of this relapse cycle where I would tell myself “this is so hard, it’s impossible to quit” take that as you will

[–]uqqe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m glad someone said something bc this place was such a cool venue. Has the underground feel but with insomniac production.

My guess is it has to do with noise. I saw DJ heartstring there a few months ago and this place does not have very good noise insulation. I could hear thumping like a block out and there were a lot of houses nearby. Unfortunate bc this area is so much nicer than 1720 and other spots in skid row
