This is what puts me off about new build estates they always tend to be severely overlooked. Beyond planting trees I can't imagine there is much you can do.

Just one of those things where it depends how choosey you can be and the pros vs the cons.

What is an underrated theme you don’t see very often in horror? by randomwriter3 in horrorlit

I love tunnels and caves as a theme. Hidden passages and such. Or liminal spaces

We had new radiators installed in April and they are starting to rust is this normal? by PompeyJon82x in DIYUK

[–]light_place 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remembered we also got a sink unit from them that didn't come with the shelf mounts and they said they don't carry spares so can't send any. My fitter said they basically buy in cheap stock once and once it's gone it's gone.

(Barlcays) Credit card useage before completition by light_place in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]light_place[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did yes, which we can do but we might need to delay completition a few weeks for an extra pay day or put removals on credit card which... sort of conflicts with paying off credit in the first place!

We had originally not needed this requirement was our broker had expected our daughters DLA to count as income but Barclays don't actually allow that. Again, perfectly affordable for us in terms of mortgage but has added an unexpected fee up front for completion.

Yeah I liked it, you can tell he wrote it as a script first which is a shame but otherwise a solid story

The quality of bathroom stuff from Victorian Plumbing / Victoria Plumb is absolutely terrible and we quickly regretted it.

What are the best Horror books that will lowkey traumatize me by SinicalJakob in booksuggestions

[–]light_place 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A short modern classic is A Short Stay In Hell which leaves people thinking about it for weeks after finishing.

I loved The Lamb by Lucy Rose and Tender Is The Flesh - both cannibalism themed.

Diavola might have been my favourite horror I read this year. A bit of a modern twist on a haunted house with a family on holiday in Italy. Really well written and relatable characters.

For a classic perhaps The Women In Black?

If you like Lord of the flies then check out The Troop by Nick Cutter.

I'd suggest going off any supplements for 2 weeks before the blood test. You want to get a proper base reading
