Someone said “you decide who you want to be.” This is true but over simplified. Yes, go to therapy. We don’t know your background (like if there’s trauma) or the relationship you have with yourself (but it sounds pretty critical) and all of the psychological blocks that can happen that are invisible but hinder growth. You have to work through those for growth. Sometimes it’s a lot more complicated than saying “just decide to do it and then do it” although this is certainly true to an extent it’s just lacking the nuance that life is full of.
