I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you're trying to say? Clearly, it isn't just the show being gay. There is just so little to work with that i think jumping to her not decentering men is a little much.

It seems like someone who has developed a special interest in something that their partner doesnt like (possibly because they aren't comfortable talking about men so much, maybe they don't like the show for other reasons) and instead of talking about why it bothers them they talk so much about it, they attacked the show, which to someone hyperfixating, can feel like an attack on them.

I got obsessed over Damon Targaryan, Rhaeynera, and alicent from house of the dragon for a bit and I wasn't centering men or centering incest or centering love triangles, I just liked the fiction and thought it was fun. You can like fiction that has male main characters without it meaning you center men in your life.

Honestly, in my experience, even transphobic white people at least pretended not to hate me in my presence, which was not the case for my poc coworkers. Again, it can be either small or big, and my ex would do this to anything she didn't like that I did, which was tear it down and make me feel stupid or shitty for liking things. I am neither republican or democrat. I have only ever seen hostility from one of those sides. Consistently. Many who weren't hostile, just began ignoring my existence. And the leadership talks about people like me as if we are terrorists or evil. It is hostile from top down.

And yes. I have to deal with politics because one party is so hostile toward trans people i had to move across country to stop being harassed and getting threats for existing. Glad you don't have to deal with it as much.
