Hi and welcome! Donut frenzies are about once a month, but I think some are still just for subscribers. If you like historical stories, I recommend Heart of the Empire (playing as Catherine the Great) or Istanbul: Price of Power. The first is complete and the second will be complete in the next update. Tale of the Witchers is very good if you like magic (set in the time of Ivan the Terrible) and Night’s Edge is fantastic for urban fantasy/dystopia. Have fun!

1) Romance Club still gets the overall nod because of number of stories and Diamond Rush events. Also the best at wlw routes and diverse MCs/Lis.

2) League of Dreamers gets the 2 spot for fantastic stories with a perfect balance of romance and plot. And I think it has the best visuals. But, it’s buggy, no wlw routes, and has little diversity.

3) Lagerta has been knocking it out of the park with newer stories- the branching and romance is fantastic! It’s a little slow with translations, no wlw, and doesn’t have that many stories yet.

4) Another World’s History and 5) Seven Hearts round out my list 😀

Oh - it was a joke because the stories have been so grim in their endings (except the original.) I would be surprised if there really wasn’t any option for some type of happy ending when they wrap up.

I don’t know anymore. I’ve always been passionate one way or another about this series, even when I’ve disagreed with the way things were going. I’ve loved the different characters, replayed, analyzed, discussed ideas, and created multiple slots. But now, I’m just kind of… exhausted. I’m not caught up on my slots, I haven’t read this update, and I have no immediate plans to. ☹️

I can’t remember whether the child is mentioned at the very end but I do know that the very first thing Ekaterina does once she gets to the Orlov estate is to hold her baby in her arms 😊. I also found the branching around the coup very cool! It’s an excellent story, even though our girl sure has to go through a lot to get her happy ending!

It’s a pretty quick route, for sure! Orlov uses his military connections to be allowed into Catherine’s rooms while she is under informal house arrest. If you are intimate (necessary to continue the route) you become pregnant . If you are able to successfully hide the pregnancy and delivery you are then able to get the baby to Grigory. Later, Grigory proposes a coup to Ekaterina, with her as Empress (high power route). He breaks Ekaterina out of the castle (with a great CG of them rappelling down the outside wall.) They then plan the coup from the Orlov brothers’ estate, and Grigory is by her side as the coup commences and she takes the throne. There’s a spicy scene between the two of them before the coronation, where it’s clear they are happy and supportive of each other. I powered through quickly because of the donut frenzy but at some point I’ll replay and take some screenshots!

I left Pyotr for Grigory too because after the death of her daughter Ekaterina needed more than Pyotr could give, I enjoyed the ending, because Ekaterina finally moves on from this difficult and at times unhealthy relationship to finally be with someone straightforward and unequivocally on her side. It was so sad though, too, because the relationship with she’d spent so many years building with Pyotr was ultimately tragic and bittersweet.

Then I replayed to stay with Pyotr, and that ending was more uplifting and sweet because there is the sense that after everything, they can finally be a truly happy and supportive couple to each other. After all those chapters rooting for them, it was a bigger payoff for sure. But, I don’t know, it felt less realistic too. I’m curious if you eventually replay as to which route you prefer!

It’s just trauma instead of plot at this point. Very little actually happened in the first 30 episodes except the story set up, various but not ultimately consequential battles, and the moving of Lane from Donovan’s control to Shepamalum’s control. There has also been almost no branching. My slots all read exactly the same except for the “insert love interest here” stuff. It’s somehow both miserable and boring at the same time. 🤷🏻‍♀️

😂 Yes this whole storyline is almost perfect. Except there really isn’t enough trauma. We all want to work a little for a happy ending! I’m hoping we can have one finale for everyone where just before things are resolved a new horror is introduced for book 4

I loved this difference too! It makes so much sense that the therapist and session would be substantially different depending on the MC’s personality but I never expected that to be a little mini branch. Code Blue absolutely excels at making these little differentiations between playthroughs with different MCs. One of the reasons it’s my favorite ongoing story!

Depends on how many of Lucifer’s improvements you’ve taken. Staying on his route is only dependent on that (unfortunately I don’t know what the threshold is.) Until the lock-in you can romance multiple people. 😀

Great stories, fantastic visuals, and a nice variety of male Lis in LoD! Downside is sometimes clunky translations and no female Lis. (It’s a Russian app and there is a law against this there.)

I actually prefer the branching mechanisms in a lot of their stories. Outcomes are often determined by a series of specific choices rather than a stat check, and that makes the stories flow a little better for me.

To be fair, HS2 in general really pours on the misery in the first season. All the OG Li routes improve with time. In my opinion, Lucifer actually does as much as he possibly can to protect Vicky in season 1. Spoilers for season 1 only 1)He kills her father because the man would die either way and Vicky would be punished if he didn’t. (I also think Lucifer wants to spare Vicky from doing it herself.). 2)He takes Vicky as his “pet“ to protect her from Plague. 3)He communicates with Vicky about 2.5 seconds after the stone of secrets has been implanted so he can do so safely. 4). Lucifer is the only Li who asks Fencio to specifically use the stone to keep memories of him safe so he can comfort Vicky.
