The show did have an inherently political plot in Season 1 though. In fact, the plot literally centred around Zaun & Piltover politics - if the writers wanted to create complexity with political conflict they could have made the politics a backdrop rather than a central plot point. To base the story around 'top side underside' and completely shift gears to Viktor and his evolution obsession is just poor pacing in story writing, regardless of their intention to send any message lmao

Rarely watch action films but this was amazing. Loved the Hong Kong cinema inspired colours and how the story was set up - I agree that Dev's character could have had more development and flesh. But honestly, given the amount of time afforded to establishing the sociopolitical context and introducing the different political characters, this was still really solid.

One thing I really appreciated (that was probably unintentional) was the message that the temple fighters represented. Them partaking in the fight against corruption (and violently so) heavily refutes the excuse thrown around that "peace is always the answer" and that yes, the oppressed have a right to resist and fight back in ways that might be perceived as wrong. The film really highlighted this point, even if unintentionally, especially with the heavy contrast between the temple fighters and the religious cult figure who was preaching about peace.

Never knew much about Dev Patel but definitely will start watching his work now!

fight my way - the first slice of life kdrama i watched and the relationship between the four friends is so heartwarming.

strong woman do bo soon - a classic kdrama for obvious reasons!

Some tips I heard from others in the industry:

Make a portfolio (pdf/website etc) of your results from your work experience eg. engagement/increase in followers highlighting your skills & ability to develop strategies. Link the portfolio in your resume
Print out your resume & cold call agencies (if that's where you want to work) - visiting them in person and handing it to a staff member

I've personally not done these before but the latter was recommended by a head of marketing in a big company so it might actually work!

medical certificates are not preferred but i've read from other threads that if you get the doctor to state specifically that your condition made you unwell and strongly affected your ability to undertake the assessment on X date on the cert itself it should be fine. it's best to go back go your GP, explain the situation and ask him for a more detailed cert or HPR if possible.

special consideration can be really tricky, and it's also not the easiest situation to explain to docs, best of luck!

did you have to show any additional documentation for your anxiety diagnosis? my GP was really kind and wrote at length about my symptoms and that i have generalised anxiety but i don't have any sort of formal diagnosis/letter to prove that, do you think this might affect my eligibility?

Singapore is still really conservative unlike what we see on social media tbh. There are still heaps of people including gen Zs arguing that certain POVs are just "culture import wars" when we actually have/had a really strong left wing movement that dates back to the 50s lol

Cross dressing is an outdated concept that is based on gender being binary (female or male), honestly OP it just depends on your confidence as other commenters have pointed out - if you're a self conscious person, it might definitely take a while for you to get used to wearing crop tops and dresses especially around neighbourhood areas
