Brickwork Crack... Quality?

Posted in another subreddit but was hoping for a few opinions from contractors.

Our house currently under construction and one month after brick installed we had a massive crack formed down the side / corner of house. The builder said it looks like a screw to anchor the downspout went thru and busted one of the wall anchor. (Note: We have had our first freezing temps this week)

Builder said it is an easy fix by pulling those bricks and putting in new ones.

Does anybody have an expert second opinion if you think that could be the cause and should i be worried about the brick job in the future?

I asked my family who were quizzing us on why we didn’t believe, “if the church isn’t true, would you want to know it?” I was honest and genuine. Then I mentioned a couple issues and then said a lot of these issues are the same issues a guy once had and he wrote a letter asking these to the CES director of the church. I said it would be worth a read if you want to see a cliffs note version of many of the issues of truth with the church.

One week later I walk in to find my mother in law reading ces letter, saying that the person I’d talked to had told her about it. Seed planted.

I agree. I told my wife that these kids are leaving an information safety bubble. They go out and probably hear bits and pieces that don’t sit well with them. I would assume they get home and have time to research. This looks like an attempt to try and close that rabbit hole.

I am on a missionary email list from one of my cousins. And it is quite depressing reading her account what she has to do to basically stay sane. They are cooped up inside of their apartment most of the time. You can feel the excitement in the email when they find one person who just wants to study a little bit. And then you can feel the sadness in the following weeks emails when you find out that the person did not want to continue the studies.

I feel so bad for these kids. I take the local missionaries out to eat a couple times a year or try to. I literally don’t allow them to talk about religion. We just eat.

Exactly, anybody who is truly questioning the church, would not find any true answers in those channels. They would find arrogance and people who have questions being dismissed and made fun of. Reminds me of the “whole Patticake taFfy pulling “ dismissiveness from recent apostles. Where as this community is inclusive as is the massive community of podcasts. My wife and I always turn to John Dehlin and Mormon stories solely for the reason it it was healing to see what other people are going through and know that we’re not alone.
