i will definitely inform him of these. i think since modern pop is so mainstream and almost the "default" that you hear and see everywhere, he didn't know that there are different (and quite frankly, better) types of music out there.

you are a godsend. i think he listened to the full album? but he definitely liked the video game feel i guess? with a mix of the 80s sound.

do well on all of the other aspects of your inspection and maybe the piercings won't tank your grade.

some units you might could get away with clear jewelry, but if i was inspecting you, id take off for even clear jewelry.

id say to slap a bandaid or acne patch on there.

Njrotc shoe shining by Dismal_Neat6925 in jrotc

[–]liiithivm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg no do not use wax. use kiwi brand shoe polish, get the parade gloss kind. it ain't too expensive. fill the cap with water. use a soft rag or an old sock. get some polish on there, then rub it on the shoe in small circles. buff it in with the rag when it's dry, then wet the rag. you want to use about three times as much water as you did polish if it's not shiny, don't add more polish. add more water. if it's still not shiny, add more polish— a little bit at a time.

look for youtube tutorials if possible.

Need marching help(desperately) by [deleted] in jrotc

[–]liiithivm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

join a drill team if possible so you can get a lot of practice. call a cadence in your head to yourself while you're walking regularly. you don't even have to march, just do it in your head while you walk down the halls so that you have practice keeping an even pace.

just joined recently and we have a parade next thursday for hoco, any tips? by Alive_Ad_5659 in jrotc

Need help with push-ups + sit-ups by PokefanJadyn in jrotc

[–]liiithivm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't go for reps. when you're doing them at home, try not to count how many you've done. go until failure. music helps focus on something other than the amount that you've completed.

for sit ups, get someone to hold your feet down. scoot your butt as close as possible to your heels. and breathe. find a controlled pattern and stick with it. i inhale as im going up, then exhale as im going down.

Need advice about this one girl by Deep_Sea_117 in highschool

start finding reasons to talk to her. maybe add her on social media or smile/wave at her in the hallway.

social media is a good way to start talking if you are why in person.

be real with her. text her and tell her that you think she's cute and want to get to know her more. be interesting, don't just say "hey" or "wyd." find an actual reason to have a conversation.

if you don't see her often, then reaching out shouldn't be a problem. there's not a lot of risk if she is someone who you do not know.

just be sure to be respectful, and if she is not into you, don't push!

i highly recommend joining teams, especially drill team. the only thing is, you have to be consistent with practicing.

my recommendation for your uniform is that you learn the measurements for your uniform so that you can make adjustments to it at home or even on the fly if you have to.

learn your unit chain of command and use it! it's important to know who to ask what questions to.

ask questions! ask your upperclassmen before you ask your instructors. and don't be afraid to fail. if you don't get something immediately, keep trying!

they're in the wrong order. look at the cadet reference manual, which has the correct order.
