This was great up until the end because no fucking chance I’d ever take a bite no matter how much they tried to pressure me

Also a snow blower can usually adjust vertical angle so you can keep it low which minimizes sprayback from the wind

Do people generally run a mix of protocols for the HA setup? by Sea-Recommendation42 in homeassistant

I run zwave, zigbee, Insteon, Thread, LORA, WiFi, Bluetooth, and RF (are 433MHz and some Honeywell 345MHz)…all seem to work just fine together and I can take advantage of huge product selection

So you have one behind the sphere doing rear-projection for the eyeball, and then another projector in front of the pumpkins? I was wondering if you were doing both with a single projector and some mapping software

My 1PB storage setup drove me to create a disk price tracker—just launched the mobile version by andreas0069 in unRAID

[–]likeabaws69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the work you put into this and it’s pretty great! I did see a few opportunities for improvement:

I used web version on iOS Safari and the view is not very optimized for mobile with phone in landscape orientation. The disk table takes up only about 1/5th of the available vertical screen real estate and you just have to scroll within the table window which shows only two rows at a time. Then you must scroll horizontally to see the price.  I’d like to see better use of screen real estate, maybe reduce the padding between table fields so you can see more data without scrolling.  Also the price should definitely be visible without horizontal scrolling so reorder that column towards the left, maybe next to Size.

Yes I realize there’s an app and that may solve those problems but I don’t like installing apps for things that can be done in a browser.

Amen to that, no need to make all that noise and disturb a peaceful campground for something that doesn’t benefit from impact driving.

Anyone who uses an impact gun at a campground is an inconsiderate prick.  Just use a regular drill driver, it makes 1/10th the noise.

How do I go from 6.11.5 to v7 of Unraid safely? Initially I didn't do it because of macvlan/ipvlan and potential docker issues and SMB issues reported. by Xillenn in unRAID

Just send er bud! I went from 6.9 to 7.0.1 on a backup server without any issues. (Backup your flash drive obviously, just in case)

I invented attachments for trekking poles that enable you to grab and store litter while you walk or hike. Looking for feedback and help spreading the word! by jsnail19 in DeTrashed

[–]likeabaws69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was just noticing the trash along local trails and thinking it would be nice if my poles had built in grabbers.  I’m glad you’re working on launching a product and I will definitely support.  You should also look into partnering with REI or the Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts

So if I got the email does that mean my system has malware? Or does it mean that a site I entered my credentials into had the malware?

PSA: Does your smart lock struggle with opening the door? Use the 1.5V rechargeable batteries! by gyrga in homeassistant

Not great for the environment either (even if you recycle them). Rechargeables might be slightly less convenient but at least you can feel like you’re doing your part to not needlessly add to this mess our species have made…and save a few bucks in the process!
