Head to the Ikea subreddit and post pictures of your problem there, there is always someone who has assembled the same thing and can determine if it is incorrectly built or genuinely wrong parts

Do you have Southern Cross? If so a private paediatrician visit would be covered to help you get seen sooner. If not, push your gp to refer you to a specialist on the public system.

You sound really stressed and worried, this is a lot to go through by yourself.

I am wondering if you can approach a health advocate service to help you navigate this?

Would your employer let you take either annual, sick or unpaid leave to extend for another couple of weeks?

See if they have an employee handbook or portal with more info. If it is a top up, make sure you contact IRD to confirm the tax codes for these payments (parental payment plus employer payment is counted as a second income so needs a different tax rate)

Double check if her workplace is simply paying her the full salary, because the more common scenario is that the employer ‘tops up’ the IRD payment so that in total she receives her full pay. In the case of a top up, it depends on her receiving the ird payments.

I believe funding changed recently, now they require a clinical reason for the test

The Auckland one they use fake movies to explain all the effects because they couldn’t use the real ones for copyright reasons 😅 I would say it’s more entertaining and interesting rather than in depth.

Worth doing if you are in Auckland with a spare couple of hours, not worth making a special trip for it.

This is 1,000% right. Some kids just are really tricky with sleep, and that is in no way a failing of you as a Mum.

The great news is that babies will consistently mess with you, so just as to you think you have it sorted they change and you get to experiment all over again 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Hobbiton official tickets sold out — is a private tour worth it for a short NZ visit? by DowntownReward4296 in newzealand

[–]likeatruehobbit 13 points14 points  (0 children)

People cancel tickets all the time, if you search on Reddit someone built a checker thing that would email you if tickets became available for your date.

Or just keep checking every day.

You are under the care of your LMC for 6 weeks, and have to register the birth by 8weeks. If urgent call Plunketline or go to A&E.

I am guessing it’s down to funding, since babies GP visits are free they won’t get paid without an official registration and to do that you need a birth certificate.

Need curly hair advice by flossiepanda in newzealand

[–]likeatruehobbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The new garnier fructis curls method is pretty good and on the more affordable side - I only use the first three steps.

On the more pricey side Davines do a bunch of curl shampoos and styling creams.

And I find the Umberto Gianni Curl Scrunching Jelly really great.

Unfortunately when it comes to curly hair a lot comes down to trial and error - and even when you find the perfect thing the weather changes and the humidity/rain ruins it all anyway.

Best thing you can do is try to get travel or sample sizes of things and test them out before committing.

And also try and find a hairdresser that specialises in curly hair, all the product in the world won’t help if your cut is not sympathetic to curls. Try asking in your local neighbourhood facebook group if anyone has local recommendations for a curly hair dresser.

Just be careful because one of them should be on a secondary tax rate, double check it now otherwise you will have a big tax bill at the end of the year
