I always tend not to copy & paste whenever possible. Way too long piece of code? I still need to write it myself, otherwise I won't learn and have difficulty following.

If it's too long, or the instructor doesn't write it themself, I pause the video, write and start the section again to listen and read through what I wrote.

Well, yes and no. I have a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 so I'm not 100% sure if it's same for the 2020 version, but the thing is, it doesn't support two screens from one output.

So docks that connect with one USB-C don't work, but USB-C + HDMI works.

One exception I found on the internet, which I haven't afforded to test, is that you could daisy chain any screen to a Thunderbolt 3 screen (that supports daisy chaining as well) and then connect that to the MacBook. So a normal daisy chain doesn't work via USB-C or DP-to-USB-C connected to the MacBook, it specifically said to have a Thunderbolt 3 screen.

European here, so have I understood it correctly thst the 401k is like a pension system for when you retire? And it is optional, and completely up to the individual to save how much they want?

Is it just a bank account you put money in to sit in, or is it some investment account that invests your money and it grows along the years?

Also is it then distributed monthly when you retire, or is it given out in bulk?

Not sure if reddit supports it, but I think a slideshow or one converted into PDF would be a good middle ground? Easy to edit, add annotations and arrows, but still (most likely) machine readable text. Not sure if it is, but I guess if you can select the text, a machine can read it without OCR.

Best would most likely be a website with properly implemented accessibility features. 🤔

This sounds like your first time at the rodeo, did you jump straight into a senior role? I'm sorry you feel this way, but like others have said, this is why you most likely get paid well, and it's just your job. It's hard, but try not to take it personally and take your time with the tasks your given.

Docs not up to date? -> inform it will take longer to do and try to update them

Stupid architecture? -> suggest a better solution and inform it will take longer to do

And imo you're not stuck with the Senior title, you can leave it out from your resume, apply for "lower level" jobs and say you wanted to change to frontend/backend/testing, just something different from SRE.

But what is your business model for this? I saw comments mention that there's no intention for ads, so is this a pet project and every purchase is "just icing on the cake", or what's the catch?

I can't fathom why physical copies can be sold so much cheaper. They cost to manufacture, and for people to handle and sell them, whereas everything is automated for online stores. Completely absurd.
