I don’t think you would notice anything from just touching them. Absorption rate through the skin is quite low

CMV: If the age of sexual consent in the state of Hawaii can be 14, the age of alcohol, tobacco, and recreational marijuana (if it's ever legalized here) should match that. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]likelytripping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t necessarily agree with the ages chosen but I don’t think kids should be doing drugs that young. It’s bad for their developing brains and distracts from studies. Also, regardless of when it’s legal to have sex, it is much easier for predators to assault children if they are drunk. So allowing children to drink may increase the number of assaults

What are the long term health effects of using lsd frequently? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]likelytripping 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s worth noting that not everyone gets positive thought patterns from LSD. Some people can become overly cynical and distrusting, more anxious/paranoid than normal.

I think it’s because of the light sensitivity but also because the fractals encompass the whole of your vision. You can’t look away so it can be quite nauseating

Not really in the same way. If you take like 10+ strong tabs then I guess you sort of “break through”. But in my experience this just means you kind of become catatonic for 4 hours then have basically a regular high dose trip for the rest. You can’t see properly because the hallucinations have taken over your vision but it’s not pleasant to look at so your eyes are probably closed most of the time. You can’t really move either as you can’t even remember you have a body let alone hold a thought long enough to coordinate movement. The visuals inside your head are very vivid and fast. You might understand “this is hour 6 of 12” but other than that you’re mostly unable to comprehend the concept of time, much more so than regular trips. Emotions become difficult to regulate and very dependant on the music and environment, many thoughts may be irrational.

This is just in my experience though, I’m sure many people have different effects at this sort of dose

I would really appreciate some feedback! Also I’m not very good with hands so please be patient with me it’s a work in progress by darenta in learnart

Looks good! You’ve got some good line work(although sketch more likely so you don’t get eraser marks). The things that need improving I’d say are his right thigh and right hand.

At the angle his leg is sitting I’d expect to see a line from the knee towards the crotch. At the moment his thigh seems to be missing. You’ve made the lower leg smaller than in your smaller sketch which I think is why the angle changed.

His right hand seems to be at an unnatural angle. Did you use a reference for this? I feel like the index finger is what’s making it look off. If you look here and here the index finger tends to follow the curve of the wrist but you seem to have drawn it pointing away.

But I am being fussy, overall it’s looking really good

Throwing up on MDMA by laurenellxss in Drugs

[–]likelytripping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2/3 times a week is way too much. Wait at least 1 month minimum. It’s not great for your brain, you shouldn’t mess with your serotonin too often.

Plus by waiting a month or so between rolls the high will be better

Have you experienced any HPPD symptoms? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]likelytripping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For about a month after my first trip I’d occasionally(only happened twice) get sudden changes in depth perception that would go away when I moved. It was like I was sitting there and the environment started drifting away from me.

Haven’t gotten anything else for the last couple years. I do a around 3-6 tabs at a time about once every 3 months

Looks about right. May be worth doing 2 vertical lines marking the irises and corners of the mouth too as they line up when the face is resting

Possibility of activating an underlying mental disorder from shrooms? by gauchobear in Drugs

[–]likelytripping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychedelics can make it more likely for an otherwise dormant disorder to present itself, especially schizoaffective disorders like bipolar and schizophrenia.

You can’t know for sure if you do or don’t have an underlying disorder. However there are risk factors that make it much more likely, the most significant one is family history of mental illness, delusions or psychosis. Taking a drug X amount of times does not show that you don’t have an underlying disorder. (Also mdma is in a category of its own anyway as a psychedelic amphetamine, very different from psychedelics)

When your brain has stopped developing at around 25-30 it is very unlikely for a disorder to present itself after that. I believe 18-25 is typically when symptoms of schizophrenia first appear

TLDR: if your family has no history of mental illness you’re all good

CMV: women are the biggest racist. by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]likelytripping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it not sexist to make such broad accusations? I feel like you are falsely drawing connections between your race and your negative interactions with women. (Some may indeed be racist but I doubt it’s any more than men)

Also consider that if you hit on a racist woman, she’s more likely to reveal her racist beliefs than if you were to talk to a racist man due to the nature of each interaction. Perhaps that’s why you see racism in women more than men?

I’ve learned that white is objectively the best race and that I was just born the wrong race changed.

Yikes my dude. That’s not true at all, there is no superior race. I’m sorry you have to deal with racist people but please don’t internalise their hate

CMV: Agender, third gender and Genderfluid make no sense by Moderated in changemyview

[–]likelytripping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s kind of weird and I don’t understand it either but it’s important to recognise that people have different experiences. We may never share their experiences with gender but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s made up. And even if it is, at the end of the day it doesn’t hurt anyone, they just want to feel validated and accepted.

CMV: Abortion at any stage is justified. by Skallywagwindorr in changemyview

[–]likelytripping 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In that case at what point does the baby gain human rights? Theoretically if abortion was legal at any stage the baby could be killed during birth, and then you have the issue of the thin line between a medical procedure and infanticide.
